I was in Napples, Italy a while back and the food at Basta Pasta is so very close it's almost indistinguishable. The food was... phenomenal and earth shattering. The Cheesecake was mind blowing along with the Tiramisu. Our server Miranda was superblyattentive and kept our wants and needs met. The other servers were just as helpful clearing finished plates from our table asthey passed by. The only advice I can give is get there before the dinner rush at 4pm on a Saturday because it seems that wordhas spread about this wonderful place! Bowl of Chicken Chipotle Soup and an almost everything pizza! The soup was hot (from heat, not spice) and savory, not too spicy;... lots diced vegetables served just al dente with small pieces of chicken breast. The pizza crust was soft yet baked well; all thetoppings included sausage, onion, mushrooms, and pepperoni. The toppings was fresh and not dried out. Our server was not great,but quite capable. This establishment is worth the drive. The furthest I have traveled in this direction for a meal so far. Visible from the road... and easy to get to with enough parking. Nice interior and calm mood inside. Has a bar inside where you can get a drink. The foodwas spectacular. Even though the price is market value (meaning it will cost), I do suggest you try the Crab Toast. I would goback just for that alone. Currently they are only doing the dinner menu; I didn't ask as to why, even though I was lookingforward to the wraps on the lunch menu. The server, Gary, was awesome and on point with the service. As usual Basta Pasta Eldersburg, MD lit our plates up!! The Crab ???? Imperial is spectacular! Goat cheese & fig appetizer was ... phenomenal! My husband LOVES the calamari, says it's the best around along with the penne bolognase. Being seasoned perfectly &very tasty and ALL the food has enough to take home and enjoy a second time! The Birthday ???? cheesecake ended the dinnersweetly. The STAFF are some of the BEST around! I've moved so I don't get to dine there as often, but I ALWAYS go for mybirthday! Thanks to everyone from the chefs to the guy playing guitar ???? playing some great 60's and 70's music! You made my60th birthday just what I wanted & needed! Read more
Excellent restaurant for authentic or classic Italian food. Everything in the menu is good. Bread and salad are on the house... which is so fresh. Entrees are family style which can easily feed a family of 3 to 4 at a good price. This is our 2nd visit andwill keep going back. This is now one of our favorite restaurants.
