There are pros and cons This place has changed so much ever since they removed servers, the personal touch of having someone... taking your order, and not consistently keeping up with their hours and menu items. Their drive thu board is always OFF; youcan?t tell their DT is open for business. The menu is not lit. Also, there is no digital screen, so you can?t see what you?reordering. I do like the option of ordering yourself through their menu kiosks on the inside of the restaurant; your order andpay right there. There is no more chili, cheese long frank or chipotle sauce available. Read more
I ordered and paid on the only working kiosk, and had I looked at the floors and lack of cleanliness before I ordered, i would... have walked out. Disgusting. I wish I could post pictures to truly share my experience. Read more
I went to the drive-through a few days ago and was told they were were not taking any more orders. It was 6pm!! I went inside... to double check and was told the same thing yet their mobile ordering was still available. This place is a joke. I?m surprisedthey?re still even open. Read more
Astonishing that the same people have worked here for about a year now. Takes 10 mins to get attention at the speaker. Then the... order gets forgotten at the window. Food is horrible compared to what it used to be. Used to be my favorite quick spot in townand it?s just gone completely down hill. ?Open 24 hours? but is closed every night around 9:30. The food was good. You have to use a kiosk to order, and the service was not that great, not awful, just very low, stressed ... staffed. I am happy that I have a Steak and Shake near me, just wish they were better staffed. Read more
The good was good and prepared quickly. However, this place looks like it's never been cleaned since it opened. There appears to... be layers of greasy fingerprints on every surface, dead bugs in the windowsill, touch screens are nasty. The floors used towhite but are grey in some areas and black in most of the women's bathroom. The floor is so sticky it actually stuck my flipflop to it. The bathroom floor is so sticky it's repulsive. I wish I would have seen all of this prior to ordering and payingfor our food. I also heard who I assume is the manager several times tell people that they needed to hurry up and reminding themthat they were falling behind or whatever but I didn't see him appear to offer any help. Well the food tasted good I will nevercome back to this location and I am just going to keep my fingers crossed that they were better hygiene practices in the kitchenthan there are in the ordering, dining, and bathroom areas because I do not need a foodborne illness. The experience is not as good when you order on a screen. It just seems less personal to me. We ate outside because there was so... much smoke in the dining area from the grills. The food was delicious. I will definitely go back to Steak and Shake, but Iprobably won't visit this location again due to the smoke. The staff were nice, but overall this location seems like it coulduse some attention. Read more
It was 5:35pm on Sunday evening. we went in to get shakes. No one even acknowledged us. All the Kiosks said they were closed.... The person who was cooking kept looking up at me while my kids were telling me what they wanted. No said anything to me. Thehours on the door said 10am-10pm so I did not know the dining room was closed. I was confused on why dining room would close atdinnertime. Finally I asked hey are you guys only doing drive through orders or what?s going on? He said ?ya, can you go throughthe drive through?? No sign anywhere saying the dining room was closed I?m not sure why people that were just staring at uslike we were interrupting them. We ended up going to baskin robins instead.
