Loved this place! Really cool roadhouse decor. Great staff and great food.
Had ribeyes and my husband's was nice and thick and done perfect,but mine was barely a quarter inch thick and no taste. Salads... should be served before the other food arrives and had to ask for them. Grandson had Gunder burger and didn't get the cheese andwasn't impressed. The fries were good. Not worth the drive. The hamburger isn?t anything special. The condiment bottles were greasy. Seriously the food is okay, just... nothing great. The place looks clean for the most part, but the condition of the mustard and ketchup makes one suspect of thekitchen operations. We did enjoy the nice crispy fried mushroom appetizer which came to the table quickly. I won?t go backunless it was the only other dining option. Read more

When you stop here you have to pack an appetite! Start with the appetizer sampler, as it is excellent. I had the Roadhouse 1/2... pound cheese burger, and was very good. My spouse had the 1/2 order of hot pork sandwich. It was my birthday and they gave me apiece of their blueberry dessert. It was so good, despite being full, I blew thought it like it wasn't there and could have hadanother. The pastry crust was light and delicate the blue berries were sweet and refreshing. Always worth adjusting your route to enjoy this local hotspot. Tuesday afternoon at 2 and the small gravel parking lot was still... full. Best one pound burger in Iowa. The wait wasn't very long at all, and the service was as quick as could be with having to cook a... one pound burger. The food was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend a stop here! Read more
