Just baffled might be an understatement for the manager of this place. I left completely embarrassed and dismissed after she... waisted an hour in half of my time after they sent me home with only 3 large boxes of biscuits, sauce and a small thing of macand cheese, yet I spent $40 dollars on a family meal. Mind you, I just worked a 12 hour shift, drove an hour from Austin intraffic, and sent home with a bag full of biscuits (I wish I was joking arround) I get home, change and sit down with my familyonly to realize the chicken was not there in this huge bag full of biscuits. I drive back 15-20 mins, and only to be told it wasgonna be taken care of, while I proceeded to wait an additional 40 mins patiently infront of the registers. All the customersthat were dining came, ordered, and received their food or at least demanded all their food as well, while the managercompletely kept ignoring the fact that I was still waiting there almost 40 mins for the food that I should've gotten 30 minsprior to arriving there. Before I asked for a refund, they called a large order of food so I went to see if it was mine and shegrabbed it agresively and said it was another customers that came 30 mins after I had allready been there. When I asked for arefund, she gave me attitude and proceeded to not let me even speak a couple of words before she completely dismissed me andtold me she did not care to listen to me because she was too busy and had an Owen down and that she wasn't being rude. I feltembarrassed and just appalled at how disrespectful she was. She also did not give me a receipt for my refund and walked off as Iwas standing there asking her for the information of her corporate or director .As I was leaving, I kid you not, the sweetcustomers who got their food during the time I was waiting all appologized and felt so bad I was leaving home without food formyself and my family. When I got home I opened the box to see that my chicken was soggy and looked like it was messed with. I should have opened the... box and looked before I left but I didn't, I work fast food and we never leave our food as grease as this chicken was when Igot it the whole bottom of the box was grease I am very disappointed and I will not be coming back hopefully next time goldenchick is open.... Ordered unsweetened tea got sweet. Ordered 2 Long johns fish combo and 1 KFC combo had to wait almost 10 min. for 1 order of... fish to be cooked. In the meantime the other 2 orders were setting out getting cold. Not real good service. Read more
This is a very nice stop if you've been driving for a while. It is attached to a gas station so it has pretty much everything... you could possibly need while on the road. The building is always super clean. Our orders come out very fast and fresh and hot.You can see them frying the chicken from the counter. Very large portions. Great place to stop and take the family. The food takes too long to get. Orders are partially cold. The manager yells at employees and uses profanity. She?s rude to... employees and customers. Ice machine has mold on the outside. Food on the floor in the dining area. Corn tastes old. No onewears a mask or hair nets or hats while preparing food. One employee handling food without gloves. This is a terrible KFC Storein Elgin and I don?t trust their food handling or processes there. I have had family members get food poisoning as well. Thisstore is a disgrace to the KFC chain. Its 7:00pm and the boss is gone. The cats away the mice play. We walked in and they have four employees sitting eating, talking... ,chucking and jiving in the corner. All employees. We picked up an order. Told we can't eat inside. There's nobody there. Theypretty much look like they closed up already. Even though they close at 9:00 pm. They said they were short staffed so no onecould eat inside. The lady stated they were short staffed. I looked over her shoulder and there were three employees sittingthere laughing doing nothing. Also the food was very greasy like it's been refried numerous times. I've worked at restaurantsbefore. They look like they were already cleaned up and didn't want to take another order from anyone. The girl was veryaggressive behind the counter. The back of the kitchen was completely closed down. I looked at the reviews and you could tellthey send the same response to everybody. 0/10. Every time i visit here i?m always met with the same service and same ?quality? of food. Always burnt to a crisp for both... KFC and long john silvers. Today they gave me a fried shrimp tail- not to mention the chicken you can?t even bite into. Shouldclose this establishment down.
