Finally tried Santillo?s. Greatest pizza I have ever had. And I?ve been to all the highest rated pizzerias in New Jersey, New... York & New Haven, CT. The sauce and cheese had a certain kick to it that I instantly loved. You can also tell why Santillo?scontinues to be a legendary pizzeria even after being around for over a century. Read more

I am sorry to post this but the pizzas was not good in my opinion especially for $50. The sauce taste like it was from the can... and I asked for light golden and it was still burned. I truly don?t understand how it got such great ratings and I just it wouldbe in anyone?s list for best pizzas in NJ. Read more

I'm not making this up. 20 years ago I found Santillo's by smell. I would drive by on the the way to work in the morning and... smell the best baked bread smell ever. I followed my nose to find it during my lunch break, found Santillo's, and have beengoing there ever since. I have eaten everywhere in the tri-state. Been to all the other "must try" places. They don't haveanything on the taste of this pizza. Perfect crust, rich sauce. Simply the best. Period. Read more

Al Santillo is reason #1 to get this classic pie. A close #2 is the 1964 pie. The spices, the sauce is robust and the cheese... marry together on his house made dough. The crisp was spot on. Read more

Real deal. Love seeing old school generational businesses get support. The pizza is so awesome. They make many different styles... and I hope to try them all one day. Got a large pie for pick up and it was delicious. Their staff is friendly and the owner hasa great sense of humor. Worth the trip. Read more

Got the 1964 and it was okay. I think a plain cheese pie would?ve been better but overall great pie. The garlic bread with... cheese however is next level. You can smell the garlic as soon as you get the box handed to you, crunchy outside soft and warmbread on the inside. Cheese was perfect on both pie and garlic bread. 9/10 Read more

Average at best. I had heard and read all the articles regarding Al and his place and was dying to try his pizza. After looking... at his menu and seeing photos on his Facebook page I decided on two pizzas. Al ( the owner, I know his voice from his videos)took my order. I ordered a 1964 with sesame seed crust and a half sausage Sicilian. I even specified that I wanted them 7 minlight golden. He bluntly said ? bring cash? and it was $57.00 . I said ok. I arrived at the pizzeria and waited outside in theline . When it was my turn, I gave my name and was told my order was $60.00. I explained that Al told me it waS $57.00 and wenton in the background that it was $60.00 and was then going higher in the amount. I am not a fan of being ripped off and wasgoing to tell him what he could do with the two pies. I stayed calm, paid and left. When I got to my car, I opened the boxes andnoticed that they were overcooked. I also didn?t understand why they made my Sicilian as two styles. I love pizza, I?m just nota fan of yours Al. Tell me I am crazy, or that my tastebuds are messed up like the other reviews you responded too. I love yourpizza ?story? , just not a fan of your overdone pizza, the pungent sauce, your insane prices, and raising your prices after yougave me the price. Once again, for me this was average at best. I know guys slinging out of their house that sold me betterpizza. Read more
