Worst breakfast place to go to in area. Worst service, attitude! We were a party of 14 and had called ahead 2 days prior to make... sure they would accommodate a large party. They took our name and said they would have a table ready. When we arrived themanager looked at me like I was insane and said no we do not take reservations but I can seat you in 10-15min. After 30 min wewere finally seated - it took another 30 to take our order. Please note the restaurant was no where to being half full at thispoint. As our food was being served things were missing and sides were given to us as full breakfast plates. We informed serverhe said sorry I will bring what?s left? nothing ever came. When the check came it had items on there that we never received, aswell as being charged for the server?s mistakes. After all this when we gave our credit card to pay they wanted to charge us 3%surcharge on a bill of 14ppl. My father In conversation asked, ?you guys charge the 3% on a large check too.? The cashier?sresponse was rude and uncalled for! She started saying well that?s what the sign is here for you - you should read it beforecoming in?etc? FIND ANOTHER RESTAURANT TO GO TO! The manager did not even apologize for his cashier nor their demeanor! Read more

Absolutely fantastic food!! Me and my grandma had used to to the Elly's near golf Rd. Before it closed down. As sad as we were... to see it go, this place was a good replacement and then some! Fantastic, modern atmosphere! cute, quiet and quaint decor, too!!Our server, Armando, was so sweet, too! He did everything possible to make sure we had a great dining experience! The whole restof the staff was so high-energy and cheerful, too! So great! Read more

I went to Elly's pancake House, Elk Grove village, today (Thursday) for the first time. Right away I noticed a strong smell... which wasn't food related, perhaps some chemicals used for cleaning. The place was large and there were only 4-5 tables occupied- out of 30 or more. The waiter, young man, was very nice, professional and attentive. We've ordered, and about 6-8 min laterwe've received our food. I was nicely suppressed that the food arrived so fast. However, after couple of bites, I've realizedthat my hashbrowns, were undercooked, the English muffins were old and overdried, and I've got (1) piece of ham that was placedon (2) English muffins uncut (should have been 1 piece per English muffin). When I complained about hasbrowns, ham and toast Iwas offered a cup of fruit or another hashbrowns serving which I declined. By that time, I lost my appetite and I barely touchmy food because the quality of the ingredients and their freshness was questionable. I've asked for the manager, explained thesituation and asked for the hasbrowns to be removed from the check. In the end the manager decided to waive the check entirely. The pancakes, my friend had there, were very tasty - fluffy, large, and well cooked. Read more

Normally an awesome place but today our little guest in the syrup carafe spoiled an otherwise great visit, great staff and food... was good till we discovered this guy floating in the syrup. I hate giving bad reviews but change happens after awareness Read more

Service is wonderful, everyone is really nice. The food, however, (other than the pancakes), was awful. Hasbrowns were... pale/white. English muffin wasn't toasted and didn't taste good, eggs were mediocre. Nothing was seasoned. Would not recommendor visit again. Read more

We went there at around 11am on a weekday. We were attended immediately. Waiting time for the food to be served was more or less... 10 mins which was nice. We enjoyed the food. My sister ordered hash with corned beef which we liked. We also tried theirChillaquiles Verdes unfortunately we are not fans of soggy chips. Their pancake is my personal fave. Read more
