First time visiting Chow and we will definitely be back! They have some really fun features right now for Halloween, including a... rum punch that comes out looking like a witch's cauldron complete with smoke thanks to some dry ice. We had the cheese curds(awesome) for an appetizer. Entrees were the Lemon Pepper Walleye, Blackened Chicken Alfredo, and the kid's Chicken Tenders. Thewalleye had fantastic flavor! The risotto that comes with it was decent but could use a bit more seasoning - still good though.The Alfredo was delicious!!! Alfredo can be a bit bland but with the red peppers and broccoli, this was very good. The servicewas great!!! We were here on a Friday night and never had to wonder where our server was or how long the food would take. It wasa little spendy for 2 adults and 1 child ($91 before tip) so not somewhere we could frequent but absolutely somewhere we willreturn! Read more
Have been here numerous times. Smaller menu in terms of items offered, but the quality of these are very good. Have not had... a bad or sub part meal. They also have a great bar and specialty drink menu which is very good. Higher end pricing, but wedo recommend fur a night out. Read more
Appetizer was the walleye cakes. I thought they were good, wife didn't like them. Mostly breading, but had a nice spicy kick. ... Ordered the Spicy Chicken sandwich with parmesan garlic fries. Nothing too special about the sandwich, was good. Always seemslike a waste to get the upcharge for the extra flavor on fries. One of these days I'll remember. Fries were not very good. Seemed like they got a poor batch of potatoes. Many dark spots, not crispy, very limp. I'll pop the leftover fries in the airfryer. Hopefully that will improve them. Read more
Update: Dined again here tonight and the food continues to be delicious and the service attentive. Their hours have changed post... pandemic. __________________________________________ Delicious BBQ place, the food is always fantastic and the service istypically very good as well. Was hearing that the chow I went to around was no longer what it was, with slow service and degrading food. So glad I didn’t... listen to it all. With a pizza this big and the fries as good as I remember, it’s like nothing ever went wrong. Could do witha bit more organization with the wait staff, but nothing dealbreaking at all Read more
Beautiful and a great place for a night out on date or just to enjoy a nice ???? or cocktail ???? And why not, some good food... too. Nice combination a of modern and rustic feeling place, which is kind of cool! Being here couple times and the experiencehas always been great!! Nachos were excellent and I had Chow momma drink ???? Overall, an extremely disappointing experience. We were very excited to come for some of the BBQ and atmosphere. Of the good... things we experienced: ample parking, great smells, very friendly host/hostess and seated almost immediately when we walked inat 6:15 PM on a Friday. After this the experience went significantly downhill. The waitress assigned to the table was notpleasant and often began walking away while we were talking, was inattentive, and basically disappeared for a significantportion of our time. Our appetizer came out in 5-10 minutes (this was good). Our drinks took another 5 minutes. We had to askfor water twice before we received any. Brought out only one for my wife, then had to ask a third time for water for myself. Weordered dinner at the same time as ordering our drinks. Two orders of brisket with sides. This took 45-50 minutes before it cameto our table. Our drinks were empty as the waitress had not been by in 25-30 minutes. The food came out warm at best; the macand cheese had a layer and the top pasta was dried from sitting under the warmer for an excessive amount of time. The mac andcheese should have been the item that wasn't already prepared, if anything, since brisket takes hours. The place wasn't superpacked, and no big parties were visible to have backed up the kitchen; nor did the waitress stop to let us know things weretaking longer than expected...she just didn't come back until after someone else brought our food. We watched subsequent patronsbe sat and get their food prior to us (ribs, burgers, pizzas, etc). We also watched other waitresses check on their tablesfrequently, either directly or from the periphery. The icing on the cake was that the brisket, which again we had to wait 45-50minutes for, came out mostly fat (see photo). I expect some fat. Not a slab of it. Overall, this was a terrible experience. People usually review things to complain. This place was fantastic that's why I'm here. The brisket was incredible my wife steak... was very good as well. Great fancy cocktails I loved this place I think it's a hidden gem. We will be back. Read more
