Davincis used to be our all time favorite pizza place. But in the last year or so the customer service has been a nightmare. You... call to order to go and are immediately put on hold for several minutes. You order and are put on hold again. Then you are told30 minutes for your order and I gave it an hour before picking up and it still wasn?t ready. I have currently been waiting foran additional 15 minutes now and still nothing. It would be one thing if this was a fluke. But it?s not. This has happened thelast several times we have ordered to go. It?s disorganized. Nobody knows what they are doing. Doesn?t matter if it?s busy or ifit?s not. It?s the same almost every single time and what?s worse is none of the staff seem to care. It?s really too bad. Thefood is great. 1 star for the smells. Kitchen employee seated us and apparently didn't bother telling a server she seated someone in the corner... of the back room of the restaurant. Servers were standing at tables WITHOUT order pads in hand chatting. No one even walked backto the room. After 15 minutes with no greeting or even a glass of water, we left and told the kitchen employees gathered at thefront. Won't ever go back. The food was good. The service, once seated, was fine. But hostess/ seating process was wildly disorganized and untimely, with... it being spun as our fault for not coming at a less busy time. We came in for the lunch buffet. We were seated and a very high server took our drink order. We made our way to the 6 tray +... pizza buffet. Instantly regretting our decision l, we tried to make the best of it. We ate what we could from our plates andwondered what happened to our drinks and salads...we finished our plates, received our drinks and cancelled the salads since bythis point, we had simply wrote this place off. We went out on a limb and tried this, hoping for good Italian food. The parking lot is usually full, and there was a long line... out the door by the time we left... so some people must like their food. I'm sorry to say that I respectfully disagree. What wegot tasted like leftovers from Gordon's Food Service. I think the pasta shells were straight from GFS and the sauce was straightfrom a can. Honestly, none of it tasted homemade. Or even real. It might be ok by Midwestern standards, but as someone who hasbeen to Italy, this was not Italian food. It was more like a rough approximation of what someone thinks Italian food shouldbe. It's kinda like calling Hacienda "Mexican food". Sorta true, really not. The staff was hard working, almost harried. Ifyou are from the Midwest and enjoy DaVinci's good on you.
