This is hands-down the best Mexican restaurant in the area. You won't be able to find rice and beans that taste like these... anywhere else! Their regular burritos are really good - large portions for pretty much everything we've ordered. If you haven'ttried the nachos, you should! They're worth it! Read more
No salad dressing other than ranch dressing? Sure, but you can't serve buffalo wings without Bleu cheese. That's an autofail... even before the frozen chicken wings came out with the best buffalo sauce I've had in a decade. Ordered three drinks, and eachone was more watered down than the last. But what really hurt was at the checkout with the cashier, expecting a bill of justover $40, charges us over $60! Wings 9.99, 2 mixed drinks on special 3.99, a 4.99 mixed drink , enchiladas 8.49, and tacos 6.99for our entrees (which are why they are not just 1 star)... It was my birthday, so my friend (who is nonconfrontational) treatedme. Apparently, she doesn't do math very well in public settings. That's what hurt the most, I feel like they took her for aride at the cash register while I took the rest of the wings to the car. There are plenty of other nice restaurants in Elkin. The Mango Peel is a wonderful spot. From quick and easy dishes to kids meals to finer cuisine, they have a great variety. I... personally love the lamb chops and fajita style dishes. Their guacamole is outstanding even with cilantro, lol.. Our kidsenjoyed the kids meals and dipping fries in cheese sauce, great idea. The added store attached gives an opportunity to get greatingredients for home cooking. They also have unique gifts and snacks. Read more
