Came into St. Augustine Wednesday afternoon, 9/14/22. Decided to have dinner delivered to our AirBnB. A wise person in our party... of 7 decided we should order from Bono's. I believe Door Dash was the delivery method. We were up on Vilano Beach, so it was adecent drive, but I thought everything arrived pretty quickly. The food was still very warm (a shout out to whoever the deliverydriver was). Anyway, this was amazing BBQ. Everything was fantastic. The sides were amazing. The collard greens were as good asmy own. I can't speak to the service side because we didn't eat there, but the food is legit! The ones leaving bad reviewsprobably wouldn't know good food if it came up and punched them in the face. I don?t know if it?s because I went later in the day but it was the most dry beef brisket I?ve ever had. I had to drench it in... sauce and still ended up throwing away half of it. The mac and cheese also had no flavour and I threw that away as well. Theribs were crunchy, yes crunchy. The only thing that tasted good in my meal was the sausage. Read more
Big disappointment. Got pulled pork dinner to go. Sides were OK but you don't come here to get sides! Pulled pork was overcooked... and very dry, almost inedible. Like bad Jerky. Threw most away. Would not reccomend. Read more
First experience and will never return! Grilled Chicken Salad was the worst I've ever had! I would have valued it at $7.99 just... for the chicken. There was barely any lettuce to call it a salad I paid $11.99. The lettuce I did get I pushed most to the sidesince it was part of the rind. Tomatoes were gross and pithey like they had been frozen before. My cup was completely chippedaround the edges. I prefer not to use a straw but had no choice unless I wanted to cut my lips to shreds. I kindly mentioned toBrittany D that they need to do a better job cutting up the lettuce because much of what I was served should be thrown away. Ialso mentioned throwing away the cup. She rudely stated, "We aren't allowed to throw any of the lettuce away, and most peoplelike it and will eat it." She also stated, "We aren't allowed to throw cups or anything away," turned her back, and walked offwithout even a simple apology. We didn't mention the issues with my son's meal (Chicken dinner special with 2 sides). The friedOkra was slimy inside; the rib and chicken were dried up to a crisp. My question is, if they aren't allowed to throw anythingaway, whose leftovers are we being served? I never undertip a waitress for a management or cook issue; however, Brittany Dreceived a .40 tip for her lack of professionalism. I can get a better salad and service at McDonald's. Read more
