Today was our first and last time going here. After the hour wait we were finally seated.. I was super excited about trying... the food because of all the reviews. I ordered the crab patty with hush puppies,sweet potato casserole,and red beets. The sweetpotato casserole was delicious but the crab patty was all fillers and very little crab . We tried the famous shrimp and wethought it had no flavor. Overall not impressed. Read more
Loved the fried shrimp. It is a must get. The "pink sauce" was very good with the shrimp. The fried okra was good too. They need... to play some music I felt like it was lunch time at an old folks home it was so quite. All the staff was very friendly. Wouldrecommend to everyone visiting St Augustine. It's on the other side of the bridge so it's not as busy with tourists. Read more
Amazing food as always. Shrimp is always cooked perfectly. The sides taste and look way better than home made everytime. The... atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. You will almost always have to wait to eat. Bring cash, no credit cards. You willnot be disappointed coming to eat here. This is our favorite restaurant in the country. We usually go a few times a week when we are in town. It is worth the long wait.... The friend shrimp are amazing and so is the fried chicken that they have on Tuesdays. The hush puppies are some of the best andthe sides always make me feel like I?m at grandmas house. When you get the shrimp, pour homemade datil pepper sauce on the pinksauce to dip your shrimp in to. Read more
Great service to go with the great food. A little wait so go at off time when not so busy. Order a variety and share. Shrimps... were awesome, batter is light. Hot sauce can be eaten on its own. We heard that this was the best place in Saint Augustine for fried shrimp. Well... whoever said it was correct.!!! I have never... eaten shrimp this good in my life. Isabelle was amazing at taking care of us. Very talented server for being new at it! Way togo belle! From food temp being spot on to the fresh flavor of the shrimp, you cant go wrong here. Every time we visit the St. Augustine/Crescent Beach area, going to O?Steen?s is a must. Expect to wait close to an hour for... this gem as the dining area is quaint. Their specialty is fried shrimp (the breading is very light). The pink sauce that comeswith the fried shrimp is unique and tasty. Over the years, our favorite side has become the pickled cucumbers. The hush puppiesare good as well. This is a cash-only restaurant that has been around for decades. The wait can be a pain but is ultimatelyworth it. This restaurant is also a good value IMHO.
