This place is absolutely, hands down, the best tasting, the most authentic, ethnic restaurant I've been to in the past 10 years.... Easily an 8.6 out of 5. A real hidden gem. Don't come here expecting the same old Tex-Mex slop. This small, traditional eateryis owned and run by a family from the Yucatan and it is SO good. The interior is authentic and very clean. The seating is wellspaced, both inside and their nice screened-in porch. Even the music was pleasantly appropriate. Their salsa tasted so fresh, asin made this morning. They brought out our sides of rice and beans, and even they were totally delicious. Definitely 3 or 4stars above even great Tex-Mex fare. The mains of shrimp tacos and mole chicken were cooked to perfection and utterly delicious.Portion sizes on everything (including desert) were overly generous. Sign coming in said to expect minor delays due tostaffing, but our service at 12:30 on a Thursday was very, very fast, warm and friendly. Easy off-street parking. We willdefinitely be back. If you like Tacos this is definitely the place to go. We came because of the good reviews and were not disappointed. The tacos... were simply delicious. As we had to leave early the next day we took an extra portion to take away. Also try the margaritas. Read more

I am a local cook at a busy breakfast restaurant and have lived in many food centric cities. This is the best food I?ve had in... St. Augustine hands down and some of the best Mexican food I?ve had ever. Chorizqueso, Guacamole, tried a variation of tacos-allwere absolutely delicious. Ambiance is ideal and the staff is super friendly. Highly recommend!! Read more

We decided to dine here for dinner last night (8/31) somewhat at the last minute and not too long before they closed at 8pm. We... arrived at 7:15pm and were seated immediately. Two other tables came in after us, as late as 8pm and were all seated with asmile. They are understaffed and they are honest about that. It didn?t seem to impact service nor food quality, in my opinion. The two servers working the entire restaurant knew what they were doing and were efficient. The kitchen was also super fast. All4 people in my party had our meals in under 20 minutes. I ordered a house margarita and it was a great, no frillsbeverage. For dinner, I ordered the 2x combination with a chicken tostada and beef chimichanga. It also came with rice andrefried beans. We shared chips with guacamole, salsa and queso. All were among the best I?ve had, and we frequent Mexico. Therewas a solo guitarist playing Mexican music as well. Added well to the atmosphere. This isn?t a fake 5 star. I genuinely can?tthink of anything I would recommend improving. Made me feel like I was back in Mexico! Read more
