Took my mother- in- law for her birthday as she requested. She's from Oklahoma and has never been there before. As we walk in... the host greets us and all he says is couple minutes. We wait as people walk in and he says, (your table is waiting) to thepeople who walked in. This happened twice as we waited. I understand they take reservations. We finally got a table and ourserver was amazing but my mother-in-law ordered a thin crust Margherita pizza, small. My wife and I received our meal andalmost completed it before she got her pizza. I'm a lifetime local and it seemed that because we weren't regulars that we wereput on the bottom of the list. Read more

I have been to Romano?s a few times and always enjoy. Coming from the north east and just outside nyc, it?s a joy to have food... that feels authentic. I also opt for this restaurant due to my dietary restriction, as they have gluten free pizza. The onlyreason I did not give full 5 stars is that we were dining in and my pizza was delayed due to take out orders. I appreciate thatthe waitress was upfront and I made the choice to still place my order. However, I think the orders placed by those dining inshould take priority. Additionally, my father ordered lasagna and it came out well before my pizza and he asked to bring it backwhen my meal was ready. Possibly being nitpicky, but it did cost a star for me. Read more

We came here for dinner with a party of 5. We had a very short wait, less than 5 minutes, and that was just to put a couple... of tables together. Our server was attentive but not annoying. The food came quickly and was very good. The only reason wedidn't give a 5 overall is that some of the dishes were a little on the oily side. Not all of them, but it seems the cook was alittle heavy handed with the olive oil. Read more

The atmosphere and service was wonderful. Mia was a great server and answered all of our questions. The drinks were nicely... presented. We ordered pizza, a calzone, and a couple of kids entrees during our visit. The food tasted wonderful, butunfortunately made all of our stomachs upset. Read more

We're making the rounds to find the best pizza in St Augustine and Romano's Pizza and Restaurant was next on our list. We only... tried the pizza and the stromboli and antipasto for take away, not the restaurant, in this review. Overall we enjoyed the meal.I thought the Grandma pizza knocked it out of the park, loved it. Crust was fairly crisp but the cheese, sauce, and spices weretotally on point. My daughter loved the pepperoni stromboli, thought it was the best one she'd ever had. The antipasto wasvery good, but we've had better and that may just come down to personal taste. The house dressing was excellent. Surprisingly, our son just didn't care for the sausage and pepperoni pizza. I did not try it myself but he wouldn't finish it, and he lovespizza. I wish I had a better explanation other than he's a typical moody thirteen year old boy. It did look good. Staff werevery friendly on the phone and at pickup. Here's a tip - they will ask you if you are calling their specific location becausethere is another pizzeria with the same or similar name in the region, and people have mixed them up resulting in orders thatwere not picked up. It's not a big deal and they only do it with new customers (they must save your info in their system forfuture calls) so just be ready for it. Tip # 2 - The restaurant is on the right, but the pizzeria is on the left. Go into thedoor in the far left. In between the two entrances is another door with a sign pointing to the right, where the restaurant is.But the restaurant doesn't open until evening so the door will be locked if you are there earlier in the day for pizza. Headleft, and you'll quickly see the entrance. We would order again for the Grandma and stromboli, and I'd like to try the Italianfood in the restaurant, so we'll likely be back. Read more
