Was here on a Sunday for brunch. The staff was very friendly and food was excellent. I had the shrimp and grits, which were... some of the best I’ve had anywhere. My wife had the French Toast, which was phenomenal. The atmosphere was great and wereally enjoyed the outdoor patio area. If I have any negative criticism, it would be that service was a little slow, but I’mnot going to knock them for that because it was busy and quite frankly we enjoyed not feeling rushed and sitting outside in thewonderful weather. On vacation for 5 days in St. Augustine from Ohio, and St. Augustine Fish House and Oyster Bar was recommended by one of the... locals. It was the perfect way to end the trip. While it was a bit expensive, it was worth every penny. Our waiter Daniel wastop notch, we asked him many questions on recommendations and every one was good and we never had to track him down, he wasalways there at the right time. For food we had the fried gator tail, we weren't sure what to expect. It was surprisingly mildand tender. The stuffed grouper was out of this world, honestly it was so perfect it didn't even need to be stuffed withcheesy crab meat. We also had the captain's platter, which is a variety of sea food. All of it was cooked perfect, but my god,the scallops were melt in your mouth buttery heaven. We both had bacon collard greens, which were good, the cheesy grits weredelicious and the hush puppies, we agreed, were probably the best we've ever had. The only thing that happened was we were toldwe'll probably need reservations, we tired calling a few times on different phones and we couldn't get through, even though theline picked up. So we drove the 8 minutes from downtown and took a chance. Luckily we were able to get a table but September isthe off season so that probably helped. In summary, this restaurant was the best of our stay, pretty location, great food anddrinks, excellent service. Will recommend to anyone coming within an hour stay of St. Augustine and we are going to think aboutthis place while we are in the seafood desert that is Ohio. We'd come back just to eat here again. Corrine was a great server. Loved the Wednesday night .75 oyster night! Yum! Honey got the Captains Platter Combo Dinner Plate.... Everything was top notch. Large portions for the price. The dining area and outdoor seating was great! Can’t wait to come backfor the live music. We were very happy with our meal, server, and experience. ?????????????? Read more

Updated review: We visited twice in three days span. July 10th the restaurant was not crowded and we had a good experience. We... returned July 12th and had good food but apparently the kitchen was extremely backed up. We were there for over two hours. Weordered unlimited shrimp and never received our refill until we got up to leave. We walked to the front to pay our bill. Ourserver was kind and apologetic but appeared to be working too many tables and was just unable to attend to our needs. Definitelya great restaurant but may not be the best place to go with a larger group of people, which we were a party of 14. First reviewbelow: Great food. Nice environment. Plan to return. The pimento cheese grits were amazing. Read more

Gorgeous surrounding complete with marsh, wildlife and giant twisting oak and magnolia trees. Delightful and delicious fresh... cocktails and scrumptious foods. Portions are more than ample. Service was fantastic. Seating inside and out. Outside your undergorgeous trees with ample shade. Giant fire pit with FREE marshmallows. Live music was very enjoyable. Bar area is pretty coolbar seating only there but the restaurant itself has lots of seating. You almost feel like your sitting on the back porchenjoying family dinner. We very much enjoyed our afternoon. Read more

The food is hit or miss depending on what you chose. Oysters and shrimp plate were great, but the fish dip was bland and the... grouper tasted like it was fresh frozen rather than fresh. I would go back to give this place another shot though. The locationis pretty and the staff are super friendly. Would rate the experience a 3.5. Read more

This place is a hidden gem for sure! Beautiful outside porch to eat at. Came for Saturday Brunch and loved it. Didn’t take... pictures but the Deviled Bacon Oysters were the best appetizer we had. Portions were big and the drinks were excellent. Huge fanof the Old Fashion. Our sever (Tomsky) was terrific. Read more
