Hole in the wall place. Never would expect a small Cafe to have big taste. They have been operating for a long time and even... used to be located downtown. The atmosphere is very laid-back, you will not feel rushed. They specialize in gluten free meals. Read more

Always a 5 star dining experience. They serve delicious savory healthy food fast. Not fast food. My go to is their tofu... Reuben. Omelettes are awesome too. Plenty of options available. Try them all. Read more

I cannot possibly go to Saint Augustine without stopping at the Manatee Cafe. Every single time it has been spot on absolutely... positively delicious! Don't let the hippie vibe freak you out. I am a big bacon steak meat eater. But this place is the bestveggies option ever! Read more

Came here with my wife looking for a brunch place in St. Augustine that wouldn't involve a 40min wait. Had no idea it was... vegetarian/vegan. While I was looking for some bacon, I walked away from the meal even more satisfied than I could haveimagined. The food was SO good. The quality and flavors were just perfect. I got the breakfast burrito and my wife got thewaffles. Just wow. The food was unreal at how tasty it was. So much so we decided we had to stop again before we drove backhome. Second time the service was a little bit more rough. Seemed like they were a little short staffed but what place isn'tnowadays. Either way, highly recommend this hidden gem. Read more

The food was great. I had the veggie burger with tabooli and chips. Tons of flavor on the burger and the tabouli had a unique... garlic taste. Besides us there was only 1 other person and we still waited a little for the food. The waitress was very nice andhelpful. You can save 10% if you pay with cash. Read more

I always hate doing this... rating any vegetarian restaurant under 4 stars, but we tried to find the good here and there was not... much. Strengths: + All vegetarian, lots of vegan options + Fairly quick service even when busy Opportunities: - the tofuscramble only really had the flavor of soy sauce. For us vegans, we know Indian black salt + nutritional yeast will yield a veryeggt flavor for tofu scramble. As such, the first couple bites were good, but the dish became inedible halfway through becauseit was just tofu with soy sauce. - the potatoes were very greasy and were underseasoned alone. So eating them with the tofuscramble balanced out a little but each should stand on its own. - the miso soup did not taste fresh. It had this dark, burnttaste. I've literally never experienced in the hundreds of miso soups I've eaten in my lifetime. - the waffle was by far theworst though. I know vegan baking (any cooking with flour) can be difficult, but this waffle was gritty and bitter. It wasalmost as if the batter switched the sugar and baking soda. My wife took two bites and couldn't do any more. I tried one andspit it out. The fruit was also not fresh and was bitter as well. With such high reviews, I'm so surprised at our experience. If it is a consistency issue, I hope they fix it! Read more

Thanks for the great vegan food! The scrambled tofu and potatoes were bomb. Coffee was great too!

An absolutely fantastic little place, filled to the brim with (mostly) manatee art! Fair trade coffee and sweets at the counter,... filtered water, and even ocean friendly straws, this place is awesome! My waitress, Cheryl, was super sweet in helping me decidewhat to get, and the other young lady who brought me my food was cheerful and kind, as well. I got the breakfast burrito, madevegan with tofu scramble and vegan cheese. It was delicious! The hashbrowns were great as well. If you're in the area, andyou're vegan or gluten free, you MUST check this cafe out! Read more
