Had to give this place 5 stars. I stopped here twice on a recent family road trip. It can be a challenge finding places with... great food that can also accomadate various dietary restrictions. They exceeded expectations by having amazing food and a wholeseparate vegan gluten-free menu. One day I had the delicious shrimp Po-boy sandwich which I really liked especially since theshrimp wasn't breaded and fried. The next day I split a salad topped with spicy chicken with a family member and there was morethan enough for the both of us. My family including the vegan and gluten free folks gave rave reviews for the cauliflower Po-boysandwich, the burger, the salad with strawberries and the vegan black bean burger. Delicious southern food! We tried the fried catfish (comes with choice of sides) which was tasty without being oily. The... restaurant was full but the waitress came back looking for us and accommodated my wife and I at the bar, where we watched thefriendly bartender prepare her cocktails with skill. We liked this place so much that we came back the next day but sadly, theyhad closed early. Will be back again when we visit Ellensburg. Read more
fun southern themed cocktail bar. stopped in here for a chicken sandwich and a drink on my way home. the server was really nice... and the atmosphere was nice, too. the food was a little uninspired but overall a place i would happily go to again. Read more
We went on a Friday?early evening, for drinks and an appetizer. The drink was tasty and the pimento cheese was great. Indoor and... heated outdoor seating was available. Julep combines quality food and drinks in an open and fun atmosphere. Variety of gluten free and vegan options. Bring your loud... friends and family here and let your hair down, or keep your trucker hat on, it?s all cool. My premeal boozy Mint Julep pairedwell with the spicy, bbq chicken and bleu cheese wedge salad and side of fries. Go here and happiness will find you. Read more
EDIT: we came back the next day and tried the chicken! I can not recommend the Honey Bird enough! Chicken was moist with a... perfect crunchy fried exterior. The bread felt a little lacking but wasn?t a deal breaker. Would highly recommend this if you?rein town. Oh, and the Bloody Mary was exactly what I needed after a night at the Gorge - plenty strong and the perfect amount ofheat! In Ellensburg for the weekend and stopped in to kill time before checking in to our hotel. Great cocktails-the mint julepwas especially delicious & strong! The loaded fries were so good and I wish we had been hungry enough for the chicken sandwiches- they look huge! Definitely keeping this place in mind for whenever I drive through town again. Read more
The BEST! Authentic southern cuisine that?s to die for. Some items we loved were the fried green tomatoes, fried cauliflower... bites, The Classic chicken sandwich and the summer salad. Tried a mint julep and the midnight on the bayou drink - both 10/10!The Ranch Water is another must-try. Stellar serving staff and super vibey atmosphere. Patio that allows dogs ???? Gem of a place. Large portions surprised us but the food was all in all delicious. We ordered fried cauliflower, hot bird... sandwich, falafel, cauliflower sandwich (po-boi) and voodoo burger. Everything was tasty but the fried cauliflower was the mostdelicious. Good place to stop by if you're in the neighborhood. Friendly staff was a pro. Highly recommended Read more
