1st time today, very good food. Daughter and I ordered the miso and Tonkontsu ramen, fried calamari. I had the spice level at 3... which was a decent amount of spicy without being ????. Also, I had the plum saki which was very good without being overly sweet. The servers were nice and attentive. We will be going back soon. Read more

If you are craving for Japanese food, this is the best place to go to. Perfect also for the season, and at rainy night. Other JP... restaurants are serving only specialties like sushi rolls, hibachi or just ramen only. Although its still lacking someingredients to be an authentic JP ramen, I am satisfied with the food and service. I highly recommend their tonkatsu ramen. They have also wide range of varieties for your sides such as the yakitori, karaage and calamares. The takoyaki is so tasty!Perfect for take out. Read more

Love Uma Uma. Been coming here for years and it is always delicious. Recently got the curry rice bowl and it took me right back... to eating it in Japan. So delicious and filling. The buns and Ramen are great as well. Staff is always attentive and service istimely. If you get an appetizer you can plan to spend $25-$30 (total with tip). Read more

I recently moved to the area from Dallas and I was really bummed that I was losing my favorite Ramen place. I went to check out... Uma Uma and I was not disappointed! They have an excellent Miso Ramen and the service is excellent. Read more

The service and food were great! We got the fried calamari, the octopus pancake balls, two kinds of ramen, and dessert. Then we... went to the Korean French-style bakery at the back of the plaza for a second dessert. This was a great trip! Read more

Uma Uma is one of the few Ramen places around me (so far) but they do it very well. You have a few choices in the menu, along... with some appetizers, which I got. My friend and I ordered a couple of their drinks, the plum and white peach sakes. I preferredthe white peach but they were both really good. For appetizers, we ended up with the calamari and Takoyaki. I'd recommend givingthe takoyaki a minute because I burned my mouth on one ???? definitely head to this place if you're in a soup mood whilewandering the Ellicott city area, you won't be disappointed. Delicious Tonkotsu ramen! I added level 4 spicy and could definitely do 5, but 4 is perfect to still drink the broth afterward.... The fish cake and chashu both had perfect thickness. The egg rolls were mediocre. I sat at the bar and think the overall decorcould be better especially to shield the kitchen from view and match the quality of the food. Highly recommend noren or wineshelves to showcase the sake on the menu. Good luck! Read more
