Reviews for Ellijay Wood Fired Pizza in Ellijay, GA
Placed a to go order, I waited standing at the bar for 10 minutes before being acknowledged, but it was a little busy but not... crazy busy, my wife placed the order, ordered a pizza, meatballs and salad for 2, the salad was a very small salad and we onlygot 3 tiny meatballs, and the pizza was oval shaped ????, Grant it the food was very good but for the amount of food we got it'svery pricey. Other Italian restaurants we've ordered from have baseball size meatballs, like Kenney's in McCaysville GA, andbigger pizza for the same price at twisted tomato in McCaysville, and bigger salad of course there, but I was in Ellijay and wethought we would give it a try it was $39 for a small salad, small to medium size pizza and 3 little meatballs with some sauce. Great little pizza place located at the Ellijay town square. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived but that told us that... it would be a meal worth waiting for. There are approximately 10 tables that can seat various amounts of folks. Servers werefriendly and attentive We had the French onion soup/kale salad appetizer. I have to tell you that the soup was the best wehave ever had. Some onion soup can be too salty-but this was perfect! Our wood fired pizza was excellent and perfectly made. Be sure to add this place to your visit when in Ellijay-it?s fun, quaint and yummy. Great job Ellijay Wood Fired Pizza! Read more
The french onion soup is the best we?ve ever had. The meat pizza (sub spicy sausage for shiitake mushrooms) and crust is also... fantastic, and actually soft/chewy not crusty as you?d expect from wood-fired pizza. very happy. soft drinks are served in glassbottles. Read more
These pizzas are the real deal. This is a pie worth going out of your way and waiting for. Authentic technique, honest prices,... friendly folks, great atmosphere. We had the hummus plate and the pizza of the day, a white pie with a hot honey drizzle. Read more

Had a great time after the Christmas parade a d lighting of the tree in downtown Ellijay this evening. Finished off a great... evening at Ellijay Wood Fired Pizza, a place we?ve walked by many times and never gone in. It?s a quaint little place (and I domean LITTLE) but has a great atmosphere with an impressive beer list and a wide variety of pizzas. We ordered the margaritapizza and the flavor was great, although the crust was a little soggy - undercooked. They?ve got a great mead on tap - excellentat Christmas time and the Ellijay sangria was worth noting as well. We will definitely be back. Read more

We had the margarita pizza and it was awful- no flavor and I think there was 1 piece of basil. I?ve eaten Buffalo milk... mozzarella at many places and this place definitely lies about the type of cheese on there or it is really bad quality. Thissalad is an $8 salad? Seriously awful. Would never come back or recommend. Read more
