Awesome kolaches and good burgers. A family member recommending stopping at Hruska's on our way to Austin from Houston to try... their kolaches. I love kolaches and Hurska's did not disappoint. There are a crazy number to choose from so pick your poisonand enjoy. My kids normally love kolaches but chose to go with one of their burgers, double meat bacon cheeseburger. I wasimpressed at the quality and size of the burger (see pic). So if you driving through and hankering for either some awesomekolaches or burgers, stop in a have a go. Read more
The best place to stop for breakfast. Also the best snickerdoodle cookies in existence, and that is not an exaggeration they... really are! The fruit kolaches are to die for. Hands down some of the best, if not THE best kolaches I have ever had. I got the pan sausage and cheese and a spinach/tomato and... both were delicious! I don?t normally like sausage but I?d definitely get that again!! They have a cute little gift shop, cleanbathrooms and a large selection of snack and drinks. Oh my God! The burgers are NO JOKE! Hruska's is not really out of the way. It's on Hwy 71 just minutes from IH 10. Going to... Houston or San Antonio. Heading to Austin from either it's right there. It's a gift shop and good stop all in one. Order in theback, pay at the register, and listen for your name to be called. They have an amazing selection of Kolaches and bread.Everything made in house. The food menu is great. The burgers are too die for... and they are no joke. My wife ordered a singlewith cheese and bacon. I was hungry and ordered the double with cheese and bacon. The bacon is thick and crispy. Cheese is meltgoodness. Buns are soft and flavorful. But the actual burger... seasoned perfectly with salt and pepper...and thick. The doublewas a mistake. Hruska's Store and Bakery has many gifts to select from and the food is probably what they are known for. They serve all kinds... of sandwiches and plates. But I believe the big sellers are their pastries and sweets they sell made on site. From cookies topies to kolaches in all flavors, you'll find that one item you crave!!
