We ordered a large pizza- half bacon and pepperoni, half EXTRA (key word ‘extra’) pepperoni. I’ll let the picture speak... for itself. It was also really doughy, as if the dough wasn’t prepared properly. (I used to work in a pizza restaurant, so Iknow) The large says it come with 16 slices- we got 8. So they didn’t cut it properly either. We also ordered wings. Whichwere not cooked all the way through. We had to throw them in our oven when we got home. They were not safe to eat the way theysent them home with us. Extremely disappointed. Will not be returning. Not even the same style pizza! We want the old ownersback! Food was amazing then. What a shame. You should strongly consider renaming the restaurant …. Read more

Ordered to thin crust pizzas. There was NO crust around pizza. Cheese to the end. Like a frozen pizza. Totally disappointed. No... flavor sorry. Nothing to hold slice with. Read more

This place has really gone down hill as of late. I first ordered on an app, and my order was canceled without any warning or... notification. When I called inquiring, basically treated my like, o well. So I reordered my food. Sent my daughter to get it,they still hadn't finished my order. This time "because I didn't tell them what size grinder", did they think to ask me though. The sml cheese pizza had a crust full of air bubbles and it was doughy, the grilled chicken salad they used to have was amazing. What I got looked like left over pieces of chicken, maybe, and sum white lettuce. And the grinder that I reordered wassupposed to have peppers and banana peppers on it and it didn't. There was also and extra 8 inch grinder in my order. Thinkingwell for the hastle I deserve this slip up. But it was, from what I can guess, a steak and cheese that had no flavor, it wastruly a disappointment ordering from here. I grew up in Elllington, and Hometown always had the best Italian food. Well notanymore. I will look for another go to near me when I want a delicious pizza. So sad how much it's changed. Read more

So this review is weird. I ordered a large Hamburg pizza and waited an hour in the store and called it in 30 minutes prior. I... was told the pizza was on the house and figured that made up for it. Got home and it was a different pizza. I’m conflictedbecause the pizza was good, and it was on the house. The customer service just needs improvement. I can’t complain too muchconsidering it was on the house. I’ll be back and hopefully it was just a hectic night for the staff this time. Read more

Hometown Pizza is definitely my go-to pizza restaurant in CT. Coming from NJ, I’m so picky when it comes to pizza, but... Hometown’s food is so delicious. They have excellent service, and great selections! Read more

Just ordered a whole Tuna grinder. All I taste is bread, hardly any tuna. Never thought someone could mess up a tuna grinder... but here it is. I give it 2 stars because the bread does taste good. Read more

Currently eating at Hometown Pizza with my 6 year old son and we ordered the fried clam strips dinner and Kevin the owner went... out of his way to welcome us to town and also made a child size portion since my son won’t eat an adult dinner and priced itaccordingly which was very reasonable. First time here and it definitely WON’T be my last. My son and I have just found ourgo-to dinner spot. Oh and did I mention within 10-15 of us ordering our food was served perfectly. GREAT JOB KEVIN AND TEAM!!!!KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK!!!! Read more
