I?m not sure what other people are used to eating for Mexican but this was the worst I?ve ever had! My chimichanga had so much... grease in it thats all I could taste. When I cut it open it looked like the frying oil just drained out all over my plate. I wasalso informed that the chips drenched in salt were in fact all they had available and I couldn?t even eat them. I don?t leavereviews almost ever. I feel like people should be warned for this place. Those that had a good experience would have theirminds blown with the Mexican food just up the road a few minutes in Hays. Cancun Mexican Grill Ellis Ks is nothing less than what you?d hope for when going out for some authentic Mexican food. The... restaurant is great. From a clean, cooled environment to friendly staff and OUTSTANDING food. My ONLY complaint is that therestaurant is not closer to my house. If you?re passing by on I-70 and want some good food, this will be your best option formany hours. Read more

This is an amazing Mexican food restaurant, located off the Ellis exit on I ? 70. I took this exit to get gas and noticed this... restaurant was only the food located off the exit. I was very curious seeing a Mexican restaurant in a very austere location, soI tried it. Every part of the meal was incredible, starting with the chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were fresh andextremely flavorful. I rarely eat all the chips and salsa when I am dining solo, but they were so good I ate the entire basketthroughout the meal. I ordered the Cancun special, which are basically kicked-up fajitas with steak, chorizo, chicken shrimp andsautéed vegetables. The entrée had exceptional flavor and the tortillas were freshly made. The side dishes which includedrice, beans and guacamole salad were phenomenal. This meal was truly exceptional, there was not any portion of the meal that didnit have a ton of flavor. The portions were very large. I highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy Mexican food, also theservice was fantastic. Read more
If you are driving by on I 70 or stopping for the night at the truck stop I HIGHLY reccomend you try the Cancun. The service... was fast and friendly, the place was clean and had an authentic mexican feel including music. Our meals came quickly and tastedwonderful. The portions and price were amazing. Read more
Excellent food! Everything wasn't overly spicy but the flavors were a knock out. The service was ok. Not sure our waiter knew... any English. LOL. But he got the job done. Yes, if you're here you should enjoy a very good tasting meal. God bless you all!?? Read more
