We had a great dinner. My friends and I randomly picked King Umberto's after the Belmont Stakes and were really surprised by how... good the meal was. The meal wasn't cheap by any means, $270 or so for four of us (including a $100 bottle of wine, so$40-$50/person for a few apps and 4 entrees). That said, the food was great, we all left very filled. Visiting from Houston Texas and my family, the Gross' took us here so we could try something that we don't have down south and... they were right! Absolutely incredible. We filled the table with appetizers and not one disappointed. Then my dish, thereChicken Lombardi was out of this world. Chicken, spicy sausage, peppers and potatoes. OMG. My husband got a gift card here so we made the trip to give it try as we had heard so many rave reviews. We popped into the... pizzeria and ordered a large cheese pie and garlic knots. Unfortunately the garlic knots were positively soaked in oil andsomehow raw and burnt garlic? inedible. The pizza looked great but had a chemical taste like soap or cleaner? This place is amazing! The servers are very kind and patient. Food is amazing! I was only in the area for 2 days and had to go... twice. We went for dessert one night and then for lunch the next day. I’ve grown up here my whole life and King Umberto’s (Elmont location) absolutely did not disappoint. It was truly five star... service and even the owner was working and supporting the staff! The prices are very reasonable and they give you tons of freshfood. We ordered seafood pasta and eggplant parmigiana off menu and it was DELICIOUS. The eggplant was very flavorful and Iliked that it was thinly sliced and layered. The seafood pasta was FILLED with tons of seafood and was also very flavorful andamazing!
