I give this restaurant 10 ???????? Up. The food, the service, the entire staff, the cleanliness, the atmosphere was just... impeccable. Anna was beyond kind, friendly and very generous. What a lovely lovely lady. My friend loves it so much she bookedher daughters 50th birthday party there. We cannot have been more pleased with absolutely everything and everyone. Salvatore’s of Elmont is a beautiful outdoor restaurant. The service started on the downward side when we arrived. We had a... 7:30pm reservations on open table that we arrived promptly for. We were greeted by servers that were passing by and was notseated at our scheduled reservations time. They were not even honoring reservations first. We got seated at 8:00pm. Very crowdedand tables are close not very Covid compliant. Our order was taken at 8:23pm and we received our appetizer finally at 9:25 pm.Our entree’s, after several questions on the status finally arrived at the table at 10:10pm one entree of the four not beingserved till several minutes later. They provided us with zeppoli’s which was a nice touch however did not comp anything on thebill until we asked. The sever Leo mentioned a manager will come to the table shortly. A manager never came to our table, andLeo came back with a new check with a discount added and cookies which was a nice touch. Leo was a very nice server, he providedto us however he could. Leo deserves a pat on the back for working at this restaurant! Forgot to mention the complimentarywine, pizza bites and garlic knots was a good edition to the meal that kept us side tracked from the waiting. However,management needs to come up with a better plan on how to operate the place, we had several tables around us that just gave upwaiting for there food after 2 hrs and just left. This is something that really bothers me after being in the food industry forover 15 years. Management did not care! So word of advise if you have 3 + hours to dine than this is the place for you. But ifyou like quick prompt service this is not the place for you. Food was delicious and service was okay but the kitchen needs abetter system for carrying out orders.
