From Indiana and visiting family in Melrose Park we searched Italian food and came across this true family friendly GEM. The... prices were VERY reasonable and excellent tasting. You could taste the homemade sauces (Ravioli, Pizza Bread, Soup, chickenw/pesto sun dried tomatoes pasta, Garlic & Olive Oil pasta). All were wonderful!!!! You order at the counter and the staff werefriendly and polite as can be. We expected to serve ourselves when order was ready but they brought it out and checked on usmultiple times. So friendly and thanked us for coming in. The kitchen help was also very professional and nice. The variety offood was shocking (Italian, Mexican and American). We LOVED Spizzico?s! Great tasting pizza and the chicken Cesar was gigantic and a deal!

Great food! We sat outside it was a beautiful day! All the food was delicious. Employees were all so nice and helpful. Made us... feel like family! We ordered an assortment of food. We tried this place on the whim and a little something to celebrate my sons end of school yr. The 2 behind the counter were... super nice and welcoming (young girl and guy). Now the food... BLAND beyond words. I had the chicken parm diner.. marina saucewas awful/ meat sauce was just slightlybetter. A jar of RAOS or Ragu sauce and pasta would have been 10x better. The crust onthe chicken was very over done almost burnt in spots. Came with minestrone soup.. there is rarely a soup I don't like, took 2bites and again no real flavor and yuck. Ordered medium cheese pizza with double crust.. crust was good but the rest meh. My sonhad the buger said it was good and tasted kinda like portillos. ???? Lastly my boyfriend Ordered the wings and the garlicspinach bread and both were pretty good. Total bill $62.00 super disappointed and felt so bummed I spent that much. Reallywanted to like it but sadly we won't be back. I would be worried if we tried something different I would walk away wanting tohave saved my money. Read more

Update: I decided to give them one more shot and I?m happy I did. I apologize about the issues with the phone provider last... time? that is outside your reach. Gladly will keep returning for their delicious deep dish pizza! I normally love the deep dishpizza from here?. It?s beyond amazing? but today was enough to probably make me not order from here anymore. I always use theSlice app to order and I know my order was received at 430 because the people from the app made a edit for me on my order bycontacting the store. The delivery was scheduled for 745 which I know it?s not always gonna be on time? but then 815 rollsaround and slice tries to contact them and there?s no answer. So they say give it 10-15 more mins? still no answer and then Itried calling a few times? no answers. After an hour of no communication I had to get my order cancelled because I had guestswaiting and this was uncalled for. The tracker even showed the pizza was supposedly done. The staff was nice and the restaurant itself is very cute. BUT the food was so incredibly bland that it was really not that... enjoyable. The portions are huge, but I would have preferred a smaller seasoned dish than what tasted like sauce from a can. Thebest thing was the salad because the vegetables were fresh.
