We ordered 2 appetizers, wings and pretzels, didn't like them, cheese sauce tasted old and was chunky like it had been sitting... for awhile. The wings looked they were coated in oil and not hot sauce, was offered to a drink or something else to eat didn'toffer to take them off the bill..that was irritating. Cook came out of the kitchen cussing, around children might I add. Neverbeen here before...really disappointed and won't try again. Read more
A great gathering spot in St. Joseph! Historic building with charm. Good menu and full bar.
Such a fun restaurant. We got to pick our table and the served us popcorn as a starter. Such a unique treat at a restaurant. The... restaurant was clean and our waiter was really knowledgeable and nice. The food and drinks came quickly. The food was deliciousand displayed so nicely. The tater tots were crispy and definitely a highlight of the meal. It was a great experience and if youare ever in the St. Joseph area you must stop and try it. I will definitely go back next time so am passing through that area. Read more
Normally I like going to Ground Round because the food is good and I always get decent service. Except for yesterday - my friend... and I had a younger male waiter who was pretty arrogant and disrespectful. Talking about highly inappropriate things to me andmy friend around my 4 year old daughter. He tried to apologize by leaving this on our check. I don?t think I?ll be coming backafter the experience I had yesterday. Read more
Nice place to grab some Chow ???? Wings were nice plump rascals, with several flavors of wet and dry sauces: Parmesan Truffle... Dry Rub, Garlic Parmesan Butter, & Buffalo too for you Traditionalists ???? Lunch chicken fingers were a little small, butsolid breast meat with decent breading. Will be back to try a Burger ?????? I ordered chicken & steak fajitas. They came to me sizzling hot. Steak & chicken were seasoned to perfection! I love how they... deep fried my tortilla & put my sides in it. Veggies were fresh & my sour cream was yummy. I had a sweet tea today & it wasperfect as well. No need to add more sugar. Not too sweet but just right. My family & I enjoy eating here & so far we've alwayswalked away satisfied with our food. Shout out to my waitress today. She made sure my sweet tea was topped off & she checked onus several times to make sure we were pleased with our food. I look forward to eating here again soon! Read more
Ground Round has a very friendly staff, nice seating atmosphere, and the menu items are visually appealing, however...the food... quality is not very impressive at all. I have made 2 visits here over the last month - over lunch break, ordered bone-in wings1st visit, bone-out wings, and the pretzel sticks w/cheese on 2nd visit. The pretzels and wings (both times) were over-cooked!The pretzel beer cheese was unique and tasty though. The bleu cheese (I was served) with the wings was a different brand/qualityon both my visits as well. The second visit (today) it was much better! I'm not particularly upset with the overall diningexperience; just disappointed that a nice restaurant with such a courteous staff, could fail so badly on food quality whenvisually it looks so delicious. Local St Joseph bar and grill. We had a late lunch on Sunday. The bartender was happy to see us. The food was good.
