Did not stay at the resort, only visited the restaurant. The food was great, but not worth the price. First off, if you order... onion rings as your side, you get 4. They're really good, but you only get 4 of them. Second, the burger. Again, it was a verygood burger, but $20 bucks for a burger with literally just bacon and blue cheese on it is ridiculous. Third, $2 for every itemyou add to your burger. $2 to add lettuce. Finally, I don't know what the going price is for drinks at a regular bar, but $15for the special house drink seems excessive to me. Again, the food and service were great, but the prices were excessive. Read more

Fantastic burgers (they aren't fibbing you when they say they've got the best burgers in town). Drinks are a bit pricey but... dangerously delicious. Staff are always delightful and the view from every window is absolutely beautiful. Read more

Great food and great ambience. Beats the 2 hour line at other local joints. People who gripe about prices are clueless to the... realities of running restaurants in small town America, nor the cost of paying affordable wages. Ely after all, is a seasonalcommunity. Stony Ridge could update the google page to add more details about their menu and hours to garner more businessthough. Just beef up your Google Business page to make it more searchable. The lines at Insula and the Boathouse are out thedoor!! (Consider making a seperate account for your restaurant maybe?) Read more

After 40 minutes and no service we were told no one knew we were there. We entered through the porch but no where was there a... sign that said wait to be seated go enter through front. After letting them know we were not waited on another 20 minutes wentby and the waitress then came to our table and said ?I have bad news we are out of buns? I told her we hadn?t even been givenmenus yet, didn?t know if we were ordering anything that required bun. I said can you please get us our beverages and can weorder apps. She reluctantly took our order ( table of five, so five drinks and three apps) When she returned she never broughtback menus said the kitchen was closed. The hours are 4 to 9 on Sunday. We arrived at 6:30. Finally got our drinks at 7:45 andour three apps at 8:00. The two margaritas were a mix and bad. Three of us ordered another drink and asked for waters whichnever came. They charged us for two additional drinks that we never ordered. The bull came to 198.17. NEVER AGAIN! Terribleexperience Read more

The dismembered deer legs on the garage roof outside of the entrance to the restaurant had us all reminiscing of the suspenseful... what's-around-the-next-corner movie, Deliverance. And similar to any good horror flick, our group chose ignorance as ourbliss... Who were we to turn down expensive burgers and drinks in the middle of nowheres at the mere sight of rotting venisonstilts - after all, we're on the top of the food chain and we weren't getting a Soylent Green vibe quite yet. Whilst decentlytasty, $22 burgers and $16 drinks apiece later, we came to learn there's just no escaping... The prices of the big city. Twas aunique experience to say the least. Read more

5 stars for ambiance, but 1 STAR for food and pricing! Here's the break down: My husband and I split a $13.00 build-a-burger,... not knowing--because it's not printed anywhere on the menu--that a slice of tomato would be $1.95; a slice of onion was $1.95; apiece of lettuce was $1.95; cheese was $1.95. So now our burger is $20.80. But wait!I The mayo I asked for was another $1.50,although to their credit, the mustard and ketchup were free! Ha! So now we're at $22.30 for a fairly ordinary sized burger (notsure why everyone else says they're so large), but when you add the split fee, the burger came out to a whooping $24.30!Ridiculous! I can get ambiance in Ely at a lot of restaurants. Won't be coming back for a $24 burger again. Read more
