Used to be one of my favorite places to go but I guess not anymore. We went today after a long time ordered our usual chipotle... pizza and chicken dumplings. The dumplings were completely not well presented when I looked I was like what went wrong here withthis place. Then came the pizza, they completely destroyed it. There was no green dipping sauce and the beans and corns were icecold. It was a horrible experience. I don’t think I am ever going again. Read more

Service was so slow we didn’t get to eat in. Food was undercooked, and gave us stomach issues. We went here yesterday 11/20/22... - afternoon with a large group. I called a day ahead and told the manager that we’d be coming at a specific time. I calledagain 10 minutes before we arrived. We chose CPK because of the closeness to the AMC movie theater and we were scheduled to seea movie. They said they don’t take reservations but they would “leave a note” for the next day staff so they would beready for us. When we arrived, my name was on the list and it took them about 10 minutes to seat us. When we were seated therewas barely anyone in there. The waitress that helped us was very friendly but painfully slow. They had other servers but madeher wait on our table by herself. Not to mention we all wanted separate bills (12 of us or so). After placing our orders, wewere served one round of table bread that was a bit cold. An hour later, when our food hadn’t arrived we asked for more breadand she snapped “it’s in the oven.” We waited 30 more minutes and all our food still hadn’t come out so I went to speakwith the manager who told me the waitress had just put in our order and there was only one cook. I said to him our movie wasstarting in 20 minutes. He said “we can make it to go for you.” We waited an additional 30 minutes for the food to come outpacked in paper bags that were spilling out and dripping from being hastily packed. Some of our guests had to repackage theirfood and no one knew what was in their bags. In the end we were late for our movie because it took another 10 minutes for thewaitress to finish checking some of our guests out. Only two guests (who ordered pizza) were able to dine in. Later, my childand I had severe stomach cramps because the Alfredo was undercooked. Unfortunately this California Pizza Kitchen has gone downas one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in the Bay Area. Read more

Sitting in the restaurant and writing this review. I have been to this establishment before and was somewhat satisfied, however,... today the quality of the food was obscene. To start off the waitress slammed caveman like torn pieces of bread down in the tablewith clumps of deformed butter curds with no care for any sort of presentation. Secondly, the spinach artichoke dip was clearlydefrosted and has a mucus green film over it. Additionally the chips were stale and wet from a bowl that wasn’t properlydried. The Mac and cheese was grainy and clearly not fresh. Honestly, this place needs a health inspector to re-evaluate it as Iam not even sure if the food is safe to eat. For a place that was a childhood favorite for me, this is incredibly saddening tosee how far this location has fallen. I will not be returning. Read more

We were disappointed and felt let down with the poor service last night at CPK. When we entered the door, the young man did not... acknowledge us. No smile. Did not even look at us. No words. He just placed the menu on the table. Same with our waiterMonica. No welcome to our table and no smile. She never checked in on us after the food was placed on the table. The attitude ofthe servers were unfriendly. It’s like they did not want to be there. It does not take much energy to smile or welcome acustomer. It’s amazing how poor attitudes and behaviors in a restaurant, create such a negative experience all around. Infact, It was so bad, I thought the staff are prejudice against all Asian Americans too. There are no Asian Americans that wesaw on staff for a large establishment. The food, however, came out in 15 minutes so that we are grateful for. We will neverreturn to a CPK again. The good memories of the past are gone. Read more
