Used to be one of my favorite places to go but I guess not anymore. We went today after a long time ordered our usual chipotle... pizza and chicken dumplings. The dumplings were completely not well presented when I looked I was like what went wrong here withthis place. Then came the pizza, they completely destroyed it. There was no green dipping sauce and the beans and corns were icecold. It was a horrible experience. I don’t think I am ever going again. Read more

Service was so slow we didn’t get to eat in. Food was undercooked, and gave us stomach issues. We went here yesterday 11/20/22... - afternoon with a large group. I called a day ahead and told the manager that we’d be coming at a specific time. I calledagain 10 minutes before we arrived. We chose CPK because of the closeness to the AMC movie theater and we were scheduled to seea movie. They said they don’t take reservations but they would “leave a note” for the next day staff so they would beready for us. When we arrived, my name was on the list and it took them about 10 minutes to seat us. When we were seated therewas barely anyone in there. The waitress that helped us was very friendly but painfully slow. They had other servers but madeher wait on our table by herself. Not to mention we all wanted separate bills (12 of us or so). After placing our orders, wewere served one round of table bread that was a bit cold. An hour later, when our food hadn’t arrived we asked for more breadand she snapped “it’s in the oven.” We waited 30 more minutes and all our food still hadn’t come out so I went to speakwith the manager who told me the waitress had just put in our order and there was only one cook. I said to him our movie wasstarting in 20 minutes. He said “we can make it to go for you.” We waited an additional 30 minutes for the food to come outpacked in paper bags that were spilling out and dripping from being hastily packed. Some of our guests had to repackage theirfood and no one knew what was in their bags. In the end we were late for our movie because it took another 10 minutes for thewaitress to finish checking some of our guests out. Only two guests (who ordered pizza) were able to dine in. Later, my childand I had severe stomach cramps because the Alfredo was undercooked. Unfortunately this California Pizza Kitchen has gone downas one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in the Bay Area. Read more

Sitting in the restaurant and writing this review. I have been to this establishment before and was somewhat satisfied, however,... today the quality of the food was obscene. To start off the waitress slammed caveman like torn pieces of bread down in the tablewith clumps of deformed butter curds with no care for any sort of presentation. Secondly, the spinach artichoke dip was clearlydefrosted and has a mucus green film over it. Additionally the chips were stale and wet from a bowl that wasn’t properlydried. The Mac and cheese was grainy and clearly not fresh. Honestly, this place needs a health inspector to re-evaluate it as Iam not even sure if the food is safe to eat. For a place that was a childhood favorite for me, this is incredibly saddening tosee how far this location has fallen. I will not be returning. Read more

We were disappointed and felt let down with the poor service last night at CPK. When we entered the door, the young man did not... acknowledge us. No smile. Did not even look at us. No words. He just placed the menu on the table. Same with our waiterMonica. No welcome to our table and no smile. She never checked in on us after the food was placed on the table. The attitude ofthe servers were unfriendly. It’s like they did not want to be there. It does not take much energy to smile or welcome acustomer. It’s amazing how poor attitudes and behaviors in a restaurant, create such a negative experience all around. Infact, It was so bad, I thought the staff are prejudice against all Asian Americans too. There are no Asian Americans that wesaw on staff for a large establishment. The food, however, came out in 15 minutes so that we are grateful for. We will neverreturn to a CPK again. The good memories of the past are gone. Read more

Food was fine; not great but not horrible. Service stunk though. Our server didn’t check on us once, didn’t bring an item... we’d asked for and didn’t refill our waters. I stopped eating because I couldn’t eat more without water and we flagged herdown to ask for more. She acknowledged she’d heard us but never brought water. Because we had to be somewhere else and timewas running out I left half of my meal and had to go walk to find her to get the bill. When I pointed out we were never checkedupon and our requests for more water weren’t fulfilled so I’d left half my meal, she shrugged her shoulders and told me shewas busy. I literally NEVER don’t leave a tip, but she did not get one. Just reading all of the reviews from this place and ifthis restaurant is anything it’s consistent in their slow, crummy service. Oops, should’ve read before I went there. I alsoreally like how whomever replies on behalf of CPK actually thanks people for 3 star reviews, like it’s an achievement ????. Read more

Currently sitting in the restaurant writing this review so I don't forget. What a disappointment and I didn't even have high... expectations. We came here because the other pizza place near by seems to have relocated or shut down, should've went somewhereelse. Price, this place is way too expensive for the quantity and quality that you receive. Taste. The spinach artichoke dip wasbland. Not sure if it was supposed to be a healthier version but I've had so much better. The Mexican Street Corn was okay, notsure how you over cook corn, but they succeeded. I'm not sure what it was with the Spicy Honey Bee Focaccia. For one, it wasn'tspicy, but when I bit into it all I could say was "no". I wanted to spit it out. The pizza wasn't the worst, but it also wasn'tthe best. If we're being honest, it's very hard to mess up pizza. The cherry on top of this experience was getting the bill andseeing the fish taco I did not eat and expressed I did not like still on the bill, we had to ask to get it taken off. The onlygood thing about this place was the butter cake with Häagen-Dazs ice cream (Häagen-Dazs doesn't miss). I would come back hereONLY for the cake, but I would take it to go. That cake is the reason this place has one star (if you could give zero). I won'tspeak on staff because we only dealt with one person and the other tables seemed happy with their waiters. So basically, if youwant food there are 100% better places you could go. If you want butter cake, this is it. Read more

Went for my hubby birthday 11/01/21 So the host sat us right next to two other families like duh Covid-19 still around, We moved... because we didn’t want to be so close to the other families, hardly no one was in the restaurant. We ordered Shirleytemple’s that’s our lil drink which tasted nothing like a Shirley temple. ??????????? I ordered the crispy fish tacos, I wasnot happy especially how the fish was cooked and the amount of fish I received in my tacos for $18, I wasn’t going to complainat first but I felt someone should know, I really hope they talked to the cook, I didn’t think I was getting what I paid forwhich they took it off my bill, that was excellent customer service! Thank you ???? Read more
