This is a decent bowl of tonkatsu ramen. I like when my leftover ramen broth congeals in the fridge?a good sign of rich broth.... My girls like to get the spam musubi. I always enjoy to the Tonkotsu at 101. They're fast and tasty. They've been out of stock on bamboo for a very long time now... though which is disappointing. On the other hand they're the only ramen place I know of that gives you whole kikurage mushroomswhich are WAY better than the shredded (and often dry/hard) kikurage that every other spot has given me. This place has great food but their customer service sucks. I think the parents own it and there kids work it for them. The two... young men that work the counter rude, lazy, and just seem like they don't want to be there. I give them many chances because theKatsu Chicken is great. We stumbled upon this nice little place while visiting Emeryville California near Oakland and San Francisco. Great food and very... friendly staff. Word has it that Benny the owner had a long time vision to become successful and create a business fromscratch. I believe his vision was accomplished... come check it out when in town.
