This was a happy little find on our road trip. We shared the smoked wings. The wings e week smoked, and they have us a chance... to try all the sauces. The cheese burger was good and the fries were nice and crispy. The burnt ends were tasty as a sandwichand in the platter. The pit beef was so tender, but it did not have a bark. The baked beans has huge chunks of meat in themwith a tomato based sauce. The Mac and cheese had a great cheese sauce and the cornbread was moist and flavorful. A solid bbq place basically in the middle of nowhere. The interior is decorated with a bunch of puns and memorabilia. The... location is small but the food is good. I highly suggest getting the baked beans as a side, one of their best dishes. They doserve burnt ends and pit beef here but they?re not always available. I generally will try to stop by the place on my way backfrom working down on DC. Read more
This is the second time we?ve catered food from Chubby?s and it does not disappoint. Burnt ends, briskets, pork belly, and all... the sides were DELICIOUS. Not to mention, all the staff are so friendly. Read more
I hate to say anything bad about a BBQ restaurant, but I had the pulled pork sandwich and it was just so-so, a bit bland and... fatty, could have been leaner and chopped more. By the same token the fries were over-fried, plus fountain drinks in small cups.Maybe I'll try something different if there's a next time. Read more
Mixed reviews. The ribs were okay, chicken wings were really good and the fried pickles fantastic! Nobody cared for the chili,... seemed reheated and a bit sour-ish. The smoked half chicken was ok, beans so so, coleslaw was good, but the potato salad wasflavorless and stale. I didnt like the burnt brisket ends, but my son loved them. So its a hit or miss here. Bbq was decent. The burnt ends and pulled pork were really good. Great bark and smoke flavor on both. The brisket was nothing... special. Sliced extremely thin, no bark to speak of, lacked smoke flavor the other two items had. Service was quick andfriendly. Everything inside reminded me of a small town restaurant that's been there forever. Price was pretty high all acrossthe board. I was in town for a wedding and likely won't ever be back in that area again to try other items. Read more
Took my wife here today, as she mentioned the reviews as we were passing through...were we ever pleased with the... taste! Excellent brisket, well trimmed, ribs to perfection, just the way BBQ is supposed to be! Coleslaw was great and thoughthe fries looked over done, they too, were excellent. Good portions. Highly recommend this place if you want authentic, smokedon the premises BBQ, just about 8 miles south of Gettysburg battlefield. Decently priced...too. Read more
