My husband made a reservation a month ago.. it was not recorded.. We were greeted by Anne ( who was very sweet) Chef came in and... was flustered as our reservation was not on the books .. but they were going to take care of us!! We orders tomato bisque- itwas very good After much discussion we settled for bruschetta ( hubs doesn?t like tomatoes but we were done arguing w Chef) wehad wanted a cheese plate ? but they didn?t have all the cheeses.?? We ordered filets - mine was fine His was tough and verychewy? even cooked Med Rare.. I can?t fault the staff? but for the $$$ and the level of the chef I hate to say something wasvery off this night .. We had such high hopes based on all the rave reviews.. Chateau Bistro Steakhouse, a hidden jewel in the heart of Emory Texas. Such a cozy atmosphere, perfect to relax with a glass of... wine and a good friend. For starters we had the creamy tomato basil soup. A perfect start to the perfect Ribeye steak I ordered.I ordered mine medium rare, it was cooked perfectly and the mushroom sauce and spices were devine. The complimentary yukonpotatoes with Amish butter and asparagus were so delicious. Chef Elle is nothing short of remarkable. Not only does she lightup the room with her smile and friendliness, she genuinely cares about each diner and takes pride in the amazing food sheprepares. It?s not everyday that you find the owner of the restaurant, who is also your chef that will meet and greet herguests If you have a sophisticated pallet like I do, I highly recommend Chateau Bristo Steakhouse. Ordered the Bruschetta. Sorry, we are out of Basil. Ordered the Shrimp Scampi. Sorry we don't have Shrimp. Gin and Tonic please.... Sorry we don't have our liquor license. Ordered 2 steaks. Came out perfectly after an hour and a half wait. (the restaurant wasempty) A delicious steak was the only bright spot. One star is a fair review Read more

Took 3 hours to eat because we were told they are over booked. Yes we had a reservation. Served frozen raw broccoli. After an... hour and a half after we ordered they tell us they are out of the steaks we ordered so 2 of us had to change our order. Wefinally get our food after the chef came to our table 4 or 5 times. Dont try to order a steak like you like it because she willcome and lecture you on it. My steak was over cooked even after her lecture to my family on how they wanted their steak cooked. Just not worth the money we were charged and not a good experience all around. Read more

This is directed to the party of six that was disappointed in the service and meal at Chateau Bistro. I have followed Chef Elle... for years and eaten at all of her locations, and was NEVER disappointed in the quality of her food. She NEVER uses iceberglettuce, does NOT use corn meal in her crab cakes and uses only the best quality ingredients in all of her entrees and desserts.I have NEVER had a bad meal. I can only come to the conclusion by your comments that you have never eaten at a qualityrestaurant. I HIGHLY recommend eating at Chateau Bistro to come to your own conclusion. It seems that overall this restauranthas a 5 star rating if you check the other reviews. I wish the disgruntled 6 a pleasant day. Read more

I've had the pleasure to eat at Chateau Bistro several times over the past few years. Yesterday my husband and I ate at the... newest location, just outside of Emory, TX. The owner/chef, Elle, is a highly trained French chef, specializing in delicious &healthy French fusion cuisine. We had French onion soup, carrot-ginger soup, eggs Benedict, an enormous steak with asparagus &potato gratin, and THE MOST DELICIOUS cheesecake I've ever eaten. Everything was cooked to perfection, in a cozy & laid backatmosphere. This is not fast food - we had a 4 hour lunch yesterday; nor is it cheap - but you get what you pay for.
