Just the perfect amount of all ingredients. I know a good sandwich when I eat one and let me tell you; these guys know what... they?re doing. I?m coming back tomorrow before I head out to take one on the go. Thanks for an amazing lunch! Read more

These sandwiches are a cut above. It's so rare to find a good old fashioned sandwich shop anymore, a non-chain that uses quality... ingredients - this is one of those rare finds. Our sandwiches were so good this visit that we let out more than one contentedsigh while enjoying them. There are multiple delicious vegetarian options on the menu as well. They are very busy during thetourist season and there's usually a wait, but they give you a pager so you don't have to just stand there and our wait hasnever been excessive. It's a must for us when in the Sleeping Bear region in the summer. Read more

Good lunch stop today at Shipwreck Cafe! The staff were working super hard to get sandwiches out quick, and were very... friendly. I loved my vegetarian sandwich - the marinated peppers and pretzel bun were amazing. Next time I?d ask for mustard onthe side though, as it became a little much. My husband said his turkey sandwich was good, but dry, and that my sandwich wasmore flavorful. We sat outside, which was nice, but we wished for umbrellas on the tables. Just be prepared to sit directly inthe hot sun! Overall good, and we?ll be back when we?re in Empire again ???? Read more

Really enjoyed the rouse Simmons sandwich after hiking around the dunes. Was pretty good! Pretzel bread is really good, roast... beef had great flavor and was not stringy or tough. All veg toppings were fresh. Everything was made quickly and perfectly.Decor is pretty cute, everything to do with shipwrecks obviously, lots of neat maps Read more

Locally family owned. Fantastic homemade sandwiches using fresh ingredients. All the various dressings used are homemade... also. The place does not look like much and you could very easily drive right past it. Make sure you don't! They're homemadeseafood chowder is some of the best I have ever had. Read more

Passing through here, heading to Sleeping Bear, and we LOVE to find little local places to eat. This place was busy, so we... figured it had to be good! There is no indoor seating, it's all outdoors, which was perfect for us! The staff was superfriendly and helpful, despite being so so busy when we arrived. Everyone was smiling and happy, and they were happy to offersuggestions of the best sandwiches to try out. This place is just adorable! I love how it's set up, and how cute it is! Weordered our food, and got a buzzer so we would be notified when it was finished. We had our pups with us, and even got a smallkids sandwich for them to share! I just love how accommodating they were to all of my questions and how friendly everyone was! I found the price to be very fair for the food we got! I want to go back just to eat here again! Read more
