There was a half gallon of vodka under the ladies room sink. No need to a customer to stash it away there. The chicken fry was... acceptable, but the hash browns tastes fresh from a freezer. There was a sign, saying they were short of help, but when I askedthe waitress if she was running the place alone, she seemed offended and asked me why I thought that. Because there were only 2tables and the sign said they were short of help, that's why. But there were 2 waitresses and a cook during the dinner hour andonly two tables the entire 90 minutes we were there. That sign is insurance in case somebody should get displeased. ???? There'smuch better food for the money in Emporia. Won't do this again. Read more
I was disappointed, when I wanted to order a hamburger steak and ask that the cook try not to burn it and was told they have to... cook it there way. You can cook a hamburger steak to 160 degrees without burning the steak. I find this common at manyrestaurants. I have no teeth, so trying to eat a hockey puck is not optional. I wasn't asking for it rare I just wanted a moisthamburger steak and not a hockey puck. I should be able to get that at any restaurant. That doesn't put you at risk for alawsuit when I am asking for a hamburger steak that is cooked to temp but not burnt. Please teach your cooks how to cook better. Read more
Table and silverware were dirty, service could've been better but food was hot and delicious
1st time here got French toast breakfast ????. Scramble eggs, bacon and hashbrowns. When my food was ready I asked for a second... butter. Not realizing that the butter that came with my French toast had a black hair in it. I went to my truck opened my Frenchtoast and butter and discovered a hair in it. If I didn't ask for an extra butter I would have been sick. Luckily I used theother butter with caution and ate my food wit caution. Please wear a hair net and gloves when preparing your Togo orders. As Iproceed to eat since I was hungry I noticed the only thing I liked was the bacon. The French toast was soggy, the eggs were notScrambled and the hashbrowns seemed like de were warmed up. Huddle House in Emporia is a nice place to rest and eat mid-travel. It's a fair price for the amount of food they give you and... it doesn't taste bad. The staff were friendly as well and it was nice to see good communication between the servers and thekitchen. For sure worth a try for anyone that likes food-from-scratch restaurants. Read more

Have eaten there several times since summer. Food is good & especially the BLT on toast! Excellent!
