Coming from someone who grew up eating Filipino food, I 10/10 love coming to this place! The sizzling sisig is hard to pass up... as it's a showstopper when it comes out of the kitchen and everyone's head turns to see where the amazing smell is coming from.Whenever I come here we share the plates tapas style so we can experience all the different dishes. If you've never hadFilipino food, or don't know what to order, I definitely recommend the lumpia, chicken adobo, and sisig! You won't bedisappointed! Read more

I worked nearby and it was one of my favorite lunch spots. The food is delicious, the staff is very friendly, and the decor is... very welcoming and relaxed. The lunch menu offers a lot for a good price. I want to make it back up here for dinner so I canexplore the menu more. Read more

Great Filipino food! The dishes are centered towards an American taste. We got the lumpia, kare kare, pancit canton, and salmon... sisig. The lumpia was very enjoyable and super crispy. The kare kare was flavorful and delicious. For desert we got, halo haloand bibingka. The halo halo wasn't traditional, there weren't any beans, langka, jelly, or coconut, but overall taste was good. The bibingka was amazing, the best while warm. The server is kind and attentive, the food comes out very quickly. Overall, agreat restaurant and I recommend for some great Filipino cuisine. 5/5 stars! Read more

This resaurant is definitely a good introduction to Filipino food. The pork adobo and halo-halo were more mild in flavor. The... pork sisig was different with the red, yellow and green bellpeppers and the meaty-meats (not the porky bits one is used to wheneating homestyle/"authentic" versions. The garlic fried rice was garlicky good. The classic lumpia could have had a little morestuffing. The star dish was the lechon kawali. It was crispy and not at all dried out. It was a perfect cook. Overall, thedishes were enjoyable, just more tapered to American palate. That being said, we'd still like to come back and try the othermenu items. Read more

I had passed by Encinitas a few times and the area seemed to be quite charming with neat shops and restaurants. I'm glad I made... it a destination yesterday as it was a relaxing environment away from bustling cities to explore the neighborhood. I was cravingfor Filipino food and was delighted to find CARin de RiA here. The restaurant is located a block off the main street and hadboth indoor & outdoor dining. I was greeted warmly by the owner, Archie, who provided me with his recommendation between thesisig or kare kare to match with my beer. The sisig came out sizzling hot and was delicious with the side order of garlic rice.It was a different take on this dish, the pork belly was mouth-watering. I loved the decor/ambiance, the genuine hospitality ofthe owner, and that it was a family-run establishment. It was a very warm environment, Archie took the time at the end to get toknow me, chat about the area, and provide local tips and recommendations for the meditation center nearby. Thank-you, Archie! If you dine here you need to be patient. It does take a long time and to be honest I think there?s like 3 people working... there. Sisig is not your traditional sisig. I am not a fan of the greed and red peppers. It was very acidic and had no savorycomponent to it. The way the milkfish was deboned was phenomenal. Could have used a little salt. Read more
