This is my favorite style burger patty - thin and crispy and this place does them perfectly! I had onion rings and a milkshake... with my burger. You can see these rings are nicely done with a good crunchy crisp batter. The milkshake was beautiful with sgood chocolate flavor. As far as customer service - it was unexpectedly friendly and personal. They brought me ranch for myrings even though I had not asked and was glad they did because I prefer it over ketchup. I had the double cheeseburger. The meat was perfectly thin and crispy. Had great flavor. The cheese melted well. The bun was... buttery and soft. Overall a great burger. Didn't even know or hear about this place .. but sure am glad I forgot to pack a lunch for the work day and stumble upon this... amazing spot! Everything is perfect in my personal opinion. Outstanding burger and fries. Flavor is excellent, fries aresatisfyingly crispy. I am not a local to San Diego metro, I cannot speak to whether the location is a popular area. However, Crispy Burger is one ofthose gem finds. As I was traveling to San Diego, I saw a Starbucks and stopped by for coffee. this seems to be common based onsome reviews. Then, I saw this interesting place called Crispy Burger next door and decided to try it out. I ordered theoriginal burger and crispy's crazy fries both of which have a Philly cheesesteak like cheez whiz melted of goodness. I am biasedfor cheese so be prepared for loads of melted cheese on both the burger and fries. If not a cheese lover, you may want to askfor less as it is a lot. There are typically two types of delicious bugers, a clean side and hearty side. This one wasdefinitely hearty which is no problem at all. What I would have liked on the burger is some toppings such as lettuce, tomato,and pickled onions or something alike which would complement the burger tremendously based on being so hearty. Regardless, forthis type of burger, well played. As another comment mentioned, the burger and fries at Crispy Burger almost tastes like aslightly higher quality In N Out but with more cheez whiz! Do not kill the messenger Californians. If this is your style ofburgers, definitely check them out. They are also a newer establishment so Yelpers go! I also had an opportunity to try theirstrawberry milkshake which is very creamy and loads of strawberriness. Definitely recommend as well. Ample parking with ashared parking lot in a plaza. So glad I stumbled upon this place! I love things crispy when I eat them and the flattened burger patties hold up to that... standard!! Also got the half and half fries/onion ring combo which was fried to perfection. I love supporting local businessesas I am one myself.
