Wow! The only way to eat better is to have a De?Lorean take you back in time to an old fashioned diner. The pancakes overflow... the plates, the coffee is free flowing and amazing and the steak is exactly the way a breakfast steak should be. Food was great, service was 5 stars. HOWEVER, my issue is the fact that it's cash only with a big ghetto ATM sitting in the... lobby for you to add an extra $4 to your already pricey meal. Sausage n cheese omelette, American fries and extra crispy English muffin...toasted perfectly. Oh and there homemade salsa is SO... GOOD. I think I ate the whole jar. Read more
If you ever get a hankering for some good breakfast food, look no further. These were genuinely some of the best biscuits &... gravy I have ever had (sorry Nana!). The pancakes genuinely are "manhole covers" (see my picture of the chocolate chip one witha fork for scale)! My boyfriend and I split the country fried steak with a half order of biscuits & gravy, along with theaforementioned monster pancake. Everything was incredibly tasty, the pancake was cooked thoroughly and the chocolate chips werenicely distributed. The country fried steak was not breaded to hell and had a very nice flavor. The prices are honestlyincredible for the amount of food, even though we shared, we had to take some home (probably good for our health). The staff areincredibly welcoming and polite. Potato Shack Cafe was a great stop, absolutely amazing breakfast, can?t say enough for the manhole size pancakes they serve to... the eggs and sausage, by far one of the best places for someone who just loves biscuits and gravy, biscuit was light and fluffy,gravy had amazing taste. Cute place. We went with no wait for indoor seating. Table was made from a tree slab and was irregularly shaped, so one corner... had almost no space to squeeze between table and booth. Luckily we out my youngest there and it worked out. Maybe the hostanticipated that. Food was mixed. My biscuits and gravy were good, though the eggs felt a little thrown together. The pancakeswere massive, but to be honest quite rubbery in a way I've never experienced with pancakes. I definitely wouldn't call them"fluffy." All the waitstaff were nice, and the vibe was relaxed, so no complaints there. Food just wasn't as good as it couldbe. Maybe focus on the savory items if you go. Apparently the breakfast fries are famous but we didn't try them. Cash only.They take Venmo on an honor system basis, and there's an ATM on site. Read more
Loved this place. Hole in the wall kinda place. Handful of people running it so it can get a little busy. Food was good. Very... filling since the portion sizes are huge.
