You can't call this sushi. It was tastless very cheap products. Who slices 4 inch sushi in 8 pices... not a good experience...
Conveniently arrive during their Happy Hour specials (see picture for the hours and specials) and had an assortment of different... rolls. Some people are having unrealistic expectations for a 10 dollar roll of sushi; however everything was fresh, crisp, andsavory. They had a wide selection of fresh seafood, like Geoduck, Sea Urchin, Otoro Tuna and more which was in their seasonalfresh chef menu, and might not be available whenever you visit. Highly recommend. Pretty dang good for a strip mall sushi spot. The rolls and nagiri we're on point. Beers were cold. Would visit again.
I had the fuzzy navel roll and the spider roll. I got them both to go so it could be different in the restaurant. But I thought... the flavor in each roll was lacking some type of depth. The rice was a little flakier than what I expected, and the salmon wasjust a little flavorless. I did like The soft shell crab in the spider roll. It was very good and the tempura's crunch wascrisp with a light salt flavor. I'll give it another try in the restaurant to see if there is a difference. Read more
I came yesterday 4/18/21 I called prior and placed an order of the crunchy roll , miso soup ???? and noodles ???? and everything... came out so delicious ????! I was so happy about my food when I got to the beach I completely forgot to take pictures of it??????????? But Holly was so helpful and friendly! I?m always looking for a good sushi joint. I found out that sushi lounge showed up on San Diego?s top list so I had to check... them out! And especially that I now work at scripps and it?s just right down the street! There are a few out door seats thatyou cab sure at but I think they should add maybe heat lamps since it?s going to be getting colder soon (and I?m sure COVIDisn?t going anywhere). I ordered off their lunch special (spicy tuna and crunch) I did feel that it was small rolls but it isalso lunch. I also upgraded to the salad (which is totally worth $1) and their ahi tacos. Everything tasted delicious butnothing spectacular. I wasn?t awed by anything but I want to go back and try their specialty rolls. Read more
This was objectively the worst sushi I?ve ever had. The house salad is made with a wilted spring mix and has a dressing with... zero flavor. The rice is dry and unseasoned and that lack of effort clearly carried over to the sushi. Overall, an awful meal,and the server didn?t stay at the table long enough to even ask if the food was good or not. Extraordinarily disappointingexperience but the beer was good!
