I usually don't give 5 stars, but this place surprised me. The food from The filet mignon and Arugula appetizer to the main... course rack of Lamb was Superb. Our service was excellent and our drinks kept full. The setting was very European feel with theoutdoor seating and people passing by. Oh and don't forget the desserts, cheesecake with piñions was good but the pastry withstrawberriesand fresh whipped cream dessert was decadent. This place has been my favorite quaint and intimate Italian cuisine in Encinitas for a very long time. The staff is always... friendly and wonderful going above and beyond to make each visit spectacular. I especially love the Italian wine selection andthe food is true to it’s European roots! When we sat down we were served bred with an amazing marinara sauce. Pasta is delicious here. I got the linguine Mediterrano... with white wine sauce. The shellfish was so fresh. Staff is friendly and helpful. Read more

Wow. We *just* ate here and WOW. The Lobster Ravioli & Tira Misu were divine! Mouth watering .... we chose this place... because it was much less "peopley" than places further down the strip. We made the right call. It wasn't very busy - buthonestly ... it should be continuously packed because the food is *that* good. I had dinner here Valentine’s Day evening with my partner, it was absolutely superb. For starters I had the fritto miso, which... is the fried calamari and zucchini and a shrimp bisque. My partner had the minestrone. I could’ve eaten an entire pot of thatbisque, it was so rich and creamy but not heavy at all. My partner had the penne nonino for his main and I had the scampiseranata, again absolutely delicious, my mouth is actually watering remembering my meal and it’s been weeks ???? we had a nicebottle of the Sauvignon Blanc - pasa robles which accompanied our meal perfectly. In addition to an absolutely excellent mealwas the service! The staff were great, we never had to wait for plates to be taken, they were very attentive and made sure wewere taken care of all night. Make reservations, it’s hard to get in here! The food is AMAZING. The pork was top notch and the meat falls off the bone. The... risotto was soooo good too. This is not a restaurant you want to go cheap on, you will be disappointed. The other dish was pastawith sausage and a white wine juice (I don’t remember the name) but it was also great, very flavorful but it doesn’t compareto the pork. Read more

We have been there for dinner and lunch. Both times were very enjoyable. The food were great and so were the servers. The lunch... order came with a good size salad. First time seeing more seafood than pasta. The squid ink pasta buried under the seafood hasgood texture. Rack of lamb, yum yum. Definitely will go back and bring friends. Read more
