At MENCHIE'S FROZEN YOGURT, more than a dozen flavors are available from their self-serve machines. Small cups are offered for... free sampling, that's important, because thousands of combinations are possible. Larger cups are for building and topping. The"Yogurt Jerks" encourage mixing flavors. Menchie's also provides gluten free and vegan yogurt. In other words, warm employeesand really cool yogurts are a great combination. There are many toppings (fresh fruits, nuts, chocolate syrup, marshmallowfluff, soft candies, etc) and house-made waffle cones. Price is based on the weight of your selection. This colorfull, afterschool hangout, patterned after a mid '50s ice cream shop, is remarkably popular with adults later in the evening. Founded(2007) in Valley Village, just seven miles east, there are now over 540 Menchie's Frozen Yogurt shops worldwide. EncinoCalifornia is the corporate home of Menchie's and their training school, "Menchie's University" is part of this facility.Therefore, new and delicious flavors and toppings are introduced here. There is also a selection of artfully decorated frozenyogurt "cakes." The shop is well maintained. There is patio seating. Water is provided for your pet. WOW. I cannot say enough good things about this location. Shout out to Abe with more info on why at the bottom! I had a crummy... experience with an order last night that was entirely due to a glitch in their software (no employee or human error) and thewhole thing ended up better than I could have imagined. Here's the sitch in case it happens to anyone else. I placed an orderon their website to pick up at 730. Placed the order around 7ish. I drove about 20 minutes to the location and when I pulledinto a parking space, I got a text saying my order was cancelled! I tried calling the number repeatedly and it was disconnected.I was super disappointed because this was supposed to be a special treat to end our winter break. THEN the second I walk in mydoor, I get a text that says the order is ready. WHAT!? So I call them and do reach a person and she explained that there is aglitch in their ordering system where the orders come in to this one email that not all employees have access to. If they don'topen the order and click "accept" within 15 mins, the system automatically sends a text cancelling the order. They have beentrying to catch the orders as fast as possible and they are able to "accept" them even after they've been cancelled. So that'swhy it was ready for me, despite being cancelled, when I got home. The kind employee told me they could keep it in the freezerfor me to pick up the next day, so I headed up today to grab it. Abe answered the phone and I explained the situation. He wasabout to bring the order out but we realized the yogurts were missing the toppings so he made fresh cups while we were on thephone. He brings my order out curbside and even though he was wearing a mask, I could tell he has a big smile underneath. I usually opt for dairy free ice cream, and unfortunately they didn't have many options, but I decided to eat a whole scoop... anyway!! So glad i did, it was one of the best icecream I have had. The employees are super nice, and the frozen yogurt was really good! I really liked the Red Velvet, but the Nutella is also... really delicious also. They have a new flavor, some type of watermelon candy flavor, it it was really good also. They have allsorts of toppings, like cookie dough, brownies, candy bits, cheese cake bites, crushed oreos, nutella, whipped topping, and afew different types of syrups, like chocolate and honey. Yum! Delicious yogurt. Big selection of flavors & toppings. Clean. There are as many small sample cups a customer can take to try &... taste. Workers are cheerful and nice. Parking is good.
