Quaint dining experience in an unexpected lakeside location in the San Fernando Valley. Ate at bar with Joni. Pork chop was... nicely prepared with a fabulous wine reduction sauce. Read more

The atmosphere is lovely and it was very easy to valet park my car. The three rating is because the service is okay and the... food also very average. My wife ordered the Italian omelette which included items not listed on the menu and voiced herdissatisfaction. The restaurant did not do anything to remedy the situation. The server was nice, but it's obvious themanagement lacks accommodations for customers. It was odd that my sausage skillet would come with marinara sauce and her omelethad pico de gallo. Everything is just a tiny bit off. Read more

Ate here on Fathers Day. No Chef in charge here. Prices are not in line with the quality of the food. The food was mediocre at... best. Service was good. Friendly and helpful staff. Dining outside on the dirt with the duck's and geese was a little strange. But I guess that's the charm of this place. Read more

This place has A LOT of potential. Great ambience and decor, friendly and attentive staff. But the food, especially the main... entrees, were not good at all given what they charge for it. We had high hopes for this place since it had good ratings online, but the food was mediocre. I don't mind paying $45 for a seafood pasta if it's fresh and nicely done. But you could just tellthat the ingredients were not fresh, and not flavored well. Also ordered other dishes, and they didn't do the price justice. They gotta revamp their dishes and make it flavorful. Read more

We were able to find street parking. The restaurant is on the shore of a lake in the park. We ordered lots of appetizers and... really enjoyed them. The drinks were good too. The portion of the Lasagna was enormous. Easily enough for two meals. Our serverwas very accommodating and very professional without being intrusive. It’s possible that if might be even better at lunchbecause the lake is very dark at night. Entree prices are a bit steep but appetizer portions are large and they are inexpensive. Read more

This restaurant is no longer named Lakeside restaurant and lounge. It's called The Oaks at Lakeside. www.theoaksatlakeside .... Brunch on the weekends from 9am to 3pm. Happy hour from 4pm to 6pm. Lunch and dinner menu is on the website. Come feed theducks and dine by the lake under the old oak trees. Valet parking available. Entrance is behind the shell station on La Maidast. This place is a hidden gem. Read more

I don't typically write longer reviews but but just had to say this. The food here is actually SO tasty! I came here with a... particulaely larger group (around 8 people), and we demolished everything we ordered! Just to name some (since I can't remembereverything and I didn't take pictures of everything haha), we ordered truffle fries, ribeye, lobster ravioli, scallops, tiramisu, and some ice cream. If you get anything though, I HIGHLY recommend the truffle fries and ribeye!!! The service isalso pretty good, they definitely made sure we had everything we needed and were super kind! TLDR is, if you're decidingwhether or not to come here, I'll save you the hassle of deciding and let you know I'll definitely be going back and you reallyjust have to go yourself to see how good everything is!
