Moved to Punta Gorda from Long Island NY 2 years ago. We are definitely foodie willing to travel up to 1 1/2 hrs if someone... highly recommends a place. We are italian and Chinese food focused and feel we know quality. Well we were having dinner atRiver City Itala which I consider very high quality and one of our favs when someone highly recommended Isabella Bistro . Lastnight we finally make it there. Not only did we enjoy the meal , the eggplant rollatini was the best we've ever had. The saucewas definitely a winner . Staff was very tentative and personable, real pleasant atmosphere. Definitely looking forward toreturning .... Rude manager and bad food!..I was served stale bread ..she says it was delivered daily from New York .. are u kidding me?.. how... is that even possible?..the salad was so unappetizing I told her I would have to be starving to eat it ..and I waited and waitedand no food ..she told me to leave!.. I have been in the food service industry as executive chef for over 40 years..the ownersof this establishment should be embarrassed by this manager?s actions!..and the poor quality of product and service!!!.. I went with a few friends for the first time recently. I had the Caprese salad for a starter, Chicken Picatta and cheesecake for... dessert. Everything was delicious. I would go again. Please note they only serve beer and wine. Read more
Nice little local place. Reservations are suggested, which we didn't have, but got seated right away anyway. Food was Italian... themed and very good. Limited beer and wine menu but still a tasty selections. Gracie was our server and was very sweet andattentive. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Read more
Made a reservation - very easy. Quickly greeted and seated. Apparently we had a new waiter and he was excellent! Extremely... polite, order was spot on, paced himself properly when checking back. He cleared empty plates whenever there were any andwithout being obtrusive. Food was very good. Staff all had masks on - which I truly appreciate! Shows respect for theircustomers. Read more
