Came here with a friend to celebrate a big project mile stone. The service was incredible and the servers were super attentive... of our needs. We ordered all of the food for 2 and the dry aged steak was incredible and such a pleasant experience to eat andshare! The drinks were great and super well made, the oysters were delicious and I really enjoyed the raw fish eggs that camewith it. The bacon and broccoli rabe were also exceptional. We ended the night with way too many desserts and we were both leftsuper satisfied. Everything were really great and I'd highly recommend this place for a special occasion! Read more
Went here for my birthday dinner and was very happy with the meal. Had the French Onion Soup for an appetizer and it was... delicious, cheesy goodness. Ordered the Raspberry Yum Yum drink and other than having a silly name I really enjoyed it as well.For an entrée I had the Papardelle which burst with flavor- I do wish there were a few more tomatoes in it though. This restaurant is beyond disappointing. It blows my mind how they have such great reviews. I understand people have different... palates but these reviews must be purchased. Their food is AWFUL!! I ordered two dishes that CANNOT possible be made to tastebad, two of the easiest dishes. Chicken Parm and a Caesar salad. The piece of chicken was not the right cut for Chicken Parm.The piece was thin and DRY! Paper tastes better! It was impossible to cut not to mention to bite and chew! The salad was a mixof YELLOW lettuce, not all romaine, not crunchy. The salad came with cheap store brought dressing. Overall, it was the mostdisappointing meal I've ever had. I have been to many restaurants and I know my food. I've dined at Michelin rated restaurantsand eaten at at hole in the wall pubs! Sofia's does not deserve the great reviews, or the business it gets. The food was delicious ???? For cocktails I ordered the "no money no honey" if you aren't a drinker go for it, if you are a... drinker there was not enough liqour honestly felt like nothing really isn't worth is for $17. We decided to try Sofia for our date lunch, which seemed like a promising fine dining spot. We were able to find street parking... right in front of the restaurant, but the offer valet too. On first glance, it’s hard to tell which is their entrance door, Ihave seen few guests opening the neighboring doors first. Once we went inside, it was really pretty, felt like a neat place.Well decorated, separate bar area, a doom in the middle open to sunlight . For food, we decided to try the Grilled Octopus, halfbaked chicken, and spaghetti lobster. Octopus was decent. The chicken was good well, but over powered by the pepperoncini,wayyyy too many of them. For lobster, we were surprised it wasn’t already curved out for us. We had to really put in some workto get the lobster meat out of its shell. Usually in such upscale dining restaurants, we see more sophisticated plating of suchdishes, so that guests don’t need to get messy with their hands. I was also underwhelmed by the service. Seemed like ourserver took our order and filled our water glasses because it’s his job, not that he has any interest. Also we waited for awhile after finishing our meal, to get our check. Great dining experience, appetizer were great, cocktails not strong but tasteful. They run different menus which I love and... it’s great to always get something different, they do have an underground smoke room. Not the cheapest dining experience butworth trying. Read more
