We visited Black Forest for the first time in years and were impressed with the changes. The food was excellent, and the... atmosphere was even better than we remember. We had a beer and a featured local cider with our meal. In addition, we brought ourtoddler and baby along and the staff was very accommodating and friendly toward them. We will visit again! Just got in from Texas and I wanted to check out some local breweries. Starting here. Use Google maps to find it. Parking is... around the back and street. 10 beers on tap. No flights but there is free tasting of anything you want. Getting a glass of thePumpkin Spice Cider from Wyndridge Cider. Full restaurant menu here. They do have WiFi available. The food smells great but I amhere for the beer and cider. The door to get in is on the side street. Eric saw my review and said there is parking across thestreet and then across main. Cider was quite tasty. Going to try some beer now. Trying the g.o.a.t slayer NE IPA. Lots ofcitrus and a bitter with 75 international bittering units. ABV 7.5%. this is one of their beers. Can't place the Hop type but itdoes taste good. I like it. Time to lay back and enjoy. I think you will like the place. It feels comfortable. Read more
My first time here. We stopped on a whim on our way home from out of town based on the great google reviews. This place did not... disappoint. The building was easy to find and in the historic area of Ephrata. We sat inside to eat but they had some outsideseating as well. It was pet friendly outside. The inside was beautifully decorated, good beer and excellent food. We will makeit a point to stop back! Read more
My dad has lived in Ephrata for years and I just found out about Black Forest. Bartenders are super friendly and greet you as... soon as you walk in. It?s got the perfect brewery look to the place with wood walls and a random door hanging from the wall withbeer stickers from all over the country. The beers were excellent and the Tuna BLT is pretty good. If they added some lemon atthe end to it, it would have been perfect. If you?re in the area, check it out. Read more
I don't know how we missed this place living in Ephrata for 3 years but so glad we found it today because I think we just found... our new go to place! The staff was super friendly and helpful. The place was packed but all staff still made time to check onus, make menu suggestions and made sure our experience was awesome! Reply to owners response: we were not told that we could sample any of the beers. Simply told us that you do not have flights... nothing further. Thanks for the response. Stopped in here to try some of their beers. Disappointed that they do not do beerflights. The Hefeweizen that I had was good. The food looked good but we did not try any. The service was good. Big fan of their brunch options! They are always coming out with new specials with I think it's terrific and makes me want to... come back to try more delicious options! This restaurant itself is also really neat inside. Tiny, but beautifully decorated andthe staff are so kind. Read more
Have been wanting to try this place for a while and I?m glad I finally did. The waiters were cool and the ambience was chill.... Small menu but I like that and my party each got different dishes and everybody only had compliments to give. Good selection ofbeers as well. I like the indoor/ outdoor setting.
