This place is a well oiled machine serving reasonably priced & delicious diner food in a timely manner. Burgers are good & onion... rings are mouth watering. Zucchini fries are my favorite. Chili cheese fries is a great sharable snack. I will definitely goback next time I'm at Presque Isle. They were packed 15 minutes before closing time & now I can understand why. Staff isefficient & helpful. Decor is very cool but I was there at dark so it was hard to get pics of much. Read more
This place is FANTASTIC! A lady at the dollar tree overheard me ask the cashier about good places to eat and she recommended it.... SO glad she did. The food was fantastic, the best milkshake I?ve ever had. And the price is super great for the amount andquality of food you get! Read more
Packed full of cool kitschy decor, homemade food, pet friendly (even a menu item - ice cream with dog biscuits), clean, very... reasonably priced. The handmade milkshakes are phenomenal. The grilled chicken sandwich was seasoned just right. Read more
I brought my family who was in from out of town to experience Erie?s famous Sara?s and I?m very disappointed to share the... experience was terrible. I ordered a plain turkey burger with cheese and bacon as I always do and have done for *years*. What Igot was a turkey burger with lettuce and tomato. The cheese was on the side in one of the fry containers. Very bizarre but myassumption was it was a new employee. We returned to the cashier we ordered from to fix it. The cashier was in error for notordering what I requested. I ordered two cups of cheese and didn?t get that either. The manager (perhaps owner) was broughtover. She took the receipt with no eye contact, no sorry about that let me investigate, etc. Instead she chose to point out thatreceipt didn?t say bacon and pressed the issue. Yes, because your employee messed up and stood there smiling without admittingher error. They brought a second burger that was then just a turkey burger with cheese and no bacon. This was the same pattyfrom the first order so it was cold and had been passed between multiple employees not mention it was touched by tomato whichwas the original issue. We requested a new one. Finally got the right order though it was done with indignation and the baconlooked like they found it in the garbage. Having ordered here before, I know what their bacon looks like. The most concerningpart is when the person in charge brought it over and there was no so sorry for the wait or the multiple issues. Again zero eyecontact or acknowledgment of their errors. She just walked away. Your rudeness and lack of integrity in your business justearned a well concerted effort in which I will inform every Erie friend about this so that they too don?t bring family here tohave irritating vacations. By the time we ate the food was cold and the afternoon ruined. I wasn?t upset that the order waswrong. A definite must place visit to eat!! The support the locals give this place is unbelievable. Only opened from April 1-end of... September. If the weather is nice on opening day, the amount of cars in line to visit stretches up the hill past Waldameer.Wouldn?t be uncommon to wait up to an hour before you get into the lot. The food is delicious especially the homemade onionrings. Don?t forget to get the famous orange creamsicle ice cream cone!!! Read more
Combination beach burger/ice cream joint. Located near a camp ground and rec areas. The decor is 50's with lots of color and... noise. Kind of a weird traffic flow from food order to pick up but they accurately served our6 orders in under 2 minutes. Thefood (burgers, dogs, onion rings, fries) were actually good. This place is an Erie tradition for my family. The restaurant is very family friendly. Lots of seating. Lots of fun displays to... look at while wandering around the area. It is nice to take some funny family picture. Staff are very polite and personable!Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is clean and very organized with ordering and picking up food. The food is delicious andthe ice cream is a sweet after meal treat! I have never been disappointed with Sara's in Erie, Pa. Read more
We spotted this restaurant on the way into the park and decided it would be our lunch stop on the way out. Sara's did not... disappoint. Great burgers, onion rings and zucchini fries. Quirky decor really adds to the experience. Read more
