On your adventures into the rugged and beautiful canyons of Southern Utah, you'll find a jewel of gastronomy! Unassuming and a... little hidden, Georgie's Outdoor Mexican Cafe food truck/trailer, is worth the drive. As you come into Escalante UT from theWest, Georgie's is tucked just under a big red sign "RV Park" on the right as you enter town. Parking next to the food truck islimited so feel free to park on the street...just watch out for those crazy tourists when crossing the street. If you pass bighotel with a red roof, you've gone too far...turn around. There is some seating if you'd like to hang around to eat. Otherwiseall the food is packaged in eco- friendly containers and can go with you on the road. Enjoy this desert dining spot once andthen find a reason to come back! Read more

We found this awesome place on a scenic drive from Bryce to Moab. The best burrito I?ve ever had. Same with my wife?s... quesadilla. Both were vegetarian, and absolutely delicious. And the staff is super friendly. And the outdoor patio andSpanish music only add to the awesomeness Read more

Awesome burritos! I was surprised to find they even do lattes and coffees. I usually go to the outfitters in town for food but... it closed today for some reason. This was an awesome backup and made me come my primary source of delicious food in the area onmy next trip. Read more

If you want good Mexican food in Escalante, look no further. My husband and I tried: - Corner Café Smothered Burrito with... sirloin strips - Hiker's Favorite Quesadilla with sirloin beef strips - Chips & Dips - Horchata and Lavender Lemonade Both ofour entrees were good. My personal favorite was the burrito because I loved the sauce. I enjoyed the bean dip, but I wish youcould get it with chips without having to add on salsa too. The lavender lemonade was fantastic. It's a truck, but they havetables which you can eat at outside. Stop here for lunch and you won't be disappointed. Read more

Escalante is known for many things, but food isn?t one of them. We came during off season and everything was closed, which may... have ended up being a blessing because we ended up eating at Georgie?s twice! Busy season or otherwise, I would 100% recommendthe stop. Fresh, delicious Mexican food AND good coffee. Plus, it?s owned by a lovely couple who will treat you like family.Enjoy! Read more
