This place is so good! I ordered the gyoza for an appetizer which were pretty decent. Then I ordered the Toro (Tuna belly) and... my goodness it was delicious! Perfectly slices and so juicy! I also ordered the deep fried Philadelphia roll and the Escondidoroll. The Philadelphia roll was pretty decent! Nice crunch and reliable flavor as always! The only thing I didn?t like was theway it was cut on a slant.. this always makes it harder to eat.. The Escondido roll was also pretty good to, the rolls namedafter the city they are in never fail! Came here for my lunch break. Not much wait to be seated, which I was glad. I actually ordered for pick up, but we ended dining... in. I'm not knowledgeable of ordering sushi. I know I got Philadelphia Rolls, handrolled California roll, and a salmon, but itwas cooked. I ordered gyoza as well which were good. We got Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen which was very delicious! I was in the area because of work related reason, and craving for Japanese food. I picked this place because it has good... reviews. However, it turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. We ordered stuffed mushroom, salmon poke salad, 16 pieces ofsashimi, and shrimp tempura. Stuffed mushroom is very Americanized, and overcooked. It?s dry and rough. Salmon poke salad:chopped salmon cubes, seaweed salad, and some sauce were put together, and that is called salmon poke salad. 16 pieces ofsashimi was decent. The main disappointment was the shrimp tempura. I marked on the paper for shrimp tempura, and our serverbought out a shrimp tempura roll. While my friend and I were discussing if we should let the server know about the wrong order.Our server came over (without we asking), showing us our order, and said ?this is what you ordered! You ordered the roll!? Thisis another way of her quickly telling me that ?you messed up with your own order! Don?t blame me!? I do not recall herrepeating the order to us when she received our paper. If she would have repeated to us what we order, we probably would havegotten the shrimp tempura. I am on a keto diet, so I cannot eat the roll. Pretty sad. Good sushi and friendly staff. Quick service and the food came out fast. Parking wasn't hard to find on Saturday for us. The... dynamite and baked salmon rolls were very good. Prices are reasonable. Read more
The Bento boxes (teriyaki & sesame chicken) were excellent. They have really cool yummy sauces for dipping the tempura and... spring rolls sides.. The sesame chicken was very tender and it is one of the best I tasted. Highly recommended. I had sashimilunch box in previous visits, they were ok, quality was good but the pieces were kinda small. Would of been one star if it was not for the expensive dragon and crispy rolls (obviously they?re the only ones eaten up) three... hot rolls packed into one styrofoam container? Come on guys, I?m not even a restaurant professional and that makes no sense!making them soggy fast, you guys used inexpensive ingredients for the less expensive sushi rolls I.e; the California rolls.Couldn?t even pick them up without them falling apart and once you were able to grab one, they tasted like nothing all mushy!Crazy ?
