Sheas is a classic if your in or around Essex. I go every time I’m in the area and it’s always a even better dining... experience then the year before especially if you get outside seating, the view is spectacular! Can’t wait to go again! Read more

Bartender gave me a menu without the “brunch” insert so I missed out on some good dishes. Bartender did not tell me what the... specials were so I missed out on even more food. Butternut squash ravioli was very tasty…unfortunately the ravioli weredrowning in sauce, I think I could here them yelling for help. Bar was nice and the restaurant was VERY cozy and water views.Just some constructive criticism that I hope management will take into consideration. Everyone was very nice and very polite. Read more

Poor experience from start to end. The young hostesses did not have a clue about when tables would be ready, giving... contradictory statements. We decided to go for a take out: a friend ordered a lobster roll for 37$!! And it was the tiniest rollI have seen in new England. My wife ordered a poke for 23$, and added a supplement of rice for 2$. I kid you not, you couldliterally count the rice grains smudged around the poke. The poke itself was drowned in a creamy sauce that completelyoverwhelmed the other flavors. I do not recommend: expensive for tiny portions and bad food. Read more

All the tables were taken but the maitre d' said there might be space at "the rail" - a long bench table with barstools on the... back deck overlooking the Essex River. We watched the sunset cruises and fishing boats glide by and listened to the crickets.Great Rhode Island calamari, classic seafood dishes nicely prepared, helpful, down to earth server. Read more

Great views of the marsh and Cranes beach off in the distance, but average food for above average prices. We had calamari, fish... tacos, and fish & chips. Calamari was nice, the fish tacos were *"too pickly" tasting, the halibut fish & chips was good but asmall portion. For $85 there's better. I don't mind paying more for great food, but not for average food. Read more
