First time eating here, very friendly male host and gave us seats almost immediately. The ribs were amazing, fell off the bone... and very tender! All for a great price! Would highly recommend. Read more
Great food! I had the spicy chicken tacos with fries and they were so flavorful! The portion was huge. My wife ordered the beer... battered fish and chips - they were delicious, as was the tartare sauce! Will definitely go back next time we are in Essex.Great service and covid cleanliness was fab too! The inconsistency here is unreal. After coming to this location pretty frequently for half priced apps, we were told we had to... purchase a beverage for each individual app. So, three separate drink purchases for three apps even though there was only two ofus (they have free refills anyways, so the math doesn?t add up and is clearly how they try to make their money off of thispromotion). After reading the ?fine print? on the menu, no where does it say that you need to purchase a drink for each app.Every other time we have been to this location, and any other location, they have required only one drink purchase per person,sometimes they do half price without a purchase of a drink as well. Also, Tanya, our waitress for the night brought us our billwithout asking if we were done, which was a little rude. Due to this being the second time that there has been somemiscommunication, they should have more consistency between their wait staff. It is confusing because we came to this locationtwo nights prior, ordered only waters with four apps and got them all half priced, which was nice considering the drink purchaserule. However, it is my understanding that you only need one drink purchase per person, not per app. For being locals to Essex,it was a concurrent location for us to go to, but the drive to Windsor is easier than having to deal with this bs. My fiancé and I moved to Woodslee yesterday. After a long stressful day of moving we just wanted to go out for some food and... drinks. A quick Google search of restaurants open near me showed Crabby Joe's in Essex and we are definitely glad it did! Theservice was superb, I wish I would have got our waitresses name as she definitely deserves some recognition. From the moment wewalked in she was very friendly, attentive and made sure everything was perfect! Now for the drinks & food, all I an say isWOW. Tasty, flavorful plates that were definitely a great value for the price. We will be back forsure, maybe even tonight! Read more
Favourite place to go for wings on Tuesdays. Half price apps at night make wing night an extra value. When they're allowed to... have guests inside the restaurant, I was there almost every Tuesday. Staff is always friendly, service is excellent. I've onlyhad one issue with service taking far longer than it should have, to which the manager corrected our experience in a number ofways. Came to Crabby Joe's in Essex with my family for ribs and wings deal on Thursday night. This happened to be St Patrick's day and... when we went to order we were told they weren't honoring the deal today because they didn't get enough ribs in to last them theweekend. This is super suspicious timing and In my opinion they should have to honor the deal even if they might sell out beforethe weekend! It is advertised and listed on the menu and we were told nothing till we ordered. It's not like they said "we ranout" just, we want you to pay full price and not honor our special. We were planning on making this a ritual thing with our boysbut we will not be back now. Read more
