Amazing food! We got a couple of lunch specials and the veggie pakoras. The gentleman who helped us out had our order hot and... ready on time when we showed up, we then noticed the case of sweets so went for a little sampling (pictured) the one with thecashew was my favorite and my partner says this was the best coconut cake she\'d ever had! Great quality and quantity of foodfor the price paid and loved that they specialized in vegetarian food. Will be back soon, thank you Namaste! Read more

A brand new, wonderful, Indian Restaurant. 100% Vegetarian in the heart of Essex, Vermont. Totally family run. Very warm and... friendly hosts. We had a Shahi Thali which comprised of two very large pooris, saag paneer, dal makhani, raitha, paneer tikkamasala, rice, papad and rasmalai. For starters we had Gobi Manchurian followed by Chole Bhature that was accompanied withpickles and chopped onions in a green chutney. We topped off with wonderful Rose Lassi. The place also sells Indian sweets byweight. They have Kalakand. Angoori Gulab Jamuns, Burfi, Peda, Petha, etc. They also have delicious Namak Para. Theirmenu comprises of North Indian, South Indian as well as Chaats. A truly must visit place if you stay in and around Essex orBurlington. We really enjoyed the food and ambience. Will definitely keep coming back for more Read more

We are blessed to have Namaste Garden in the Essex community. I had a fantastic breakfast with my family. We order Chhole... Bhatura, samosa chaat, Aaloo paratha with Raytta, and Mango Lassi. Everything was so good and reminded me of my back-home food. The staff were very kind and kept asking if we needed anything. It is a small cozy restaurant. I highly recommend thisrestaurant if you want the best service. Read more

We tried Namaste garden yesterday for the first time.\n\nFirst thing to know is this is more Southern Indian fare. Totally... vegetarian. They are careful to state right at the table that if you are vegan they can switch out tofu for paneer in anydish.\nWe ordered an appetizer platter that had several things. There was one Samosa which was huge, and four other things thatI would have to look\nup to say what they were. The reason I gave them a 4 star and not a 5 are for two issues. They did notoffer enough sauce at the table for the large platter of appetizers and everything was a bit bland.\nSpice levels are just mild,Medium or hot. We went for medium afraid of getting too hot but I would call the spice level of our food at medium a zero. Therereally was no heat. I usually go for a 4 on a 10 scale or a 3 on a 6 scale which gives me a good amount of spice withoutoverpowering the other flavors. The cook suggested next time to order medium plus. We will try that.\n\nWe ordered saag Paneraand Aloo Gobi. Both were good but again pretty bland.\nI am originally from Cincinnati Ohio where there is an amazing Indianrestaurant on every block in some areas and have missed the ethnic foods since I have been here in my beloved Vermont. Not thelevel I am accustomed to but still good. We will return.\nFelt very clean and the entire staff was absolutely wonderful. Read more

I went on opening day, and then came back again a week later. As a vegetarian I normally struggle to find comprehensive menu... options, and Namaste Garden has an incredible selection! Everything is delicious, seasoned perfectly, and they do a great jobgiving options on the level of spice you want for all their vegetable curry dishes. I\'m looking forward to being a regularhere!
