I cannot say enough about Salt and Bubbles. The staff and selection here is impeccable. Constant, rotating wines by the glass... and in the retail side keeps things exciting for their clientele and the staff is always on hand to offer a friendly suggestion. The cheese selection is also very noteworthy-they are getting their hands on some super hard to find cheeses. The fact that theyhave a cheese monger on staff and everyone working here has such extensive knowledge about every wine in house is very special. They really know what they are doing here. Everyone is so friendly when you walk through the doors, they really make you feel athome. I always enjoy coming here, either for a solo glass of wine or for meeting friends at a table, it’s always a good time. Read more

The level of attentivenes, care to detail, and just overall fun to be had at S&B is always top notch! Reservation or not we are... always greeted with wide smiles! Its a small staff, but its incredible how well-trained and passionate everyone there is. Sohappy to see a place like this in Essex that gives a hoot about what they are doing. Read more

I love how welcomed I feel every time I see the folks at this lovely gem that Essex was so needing. You can tell how much... thought and attention goes into the selection of each item they have in this store and restaurant. Awesome wine selection, knowledgeable staff, and decor that is comfortable and elegant without being sterile. If you have a chance, do have a minute tosay hi to the owner, Kayla, she is so caring, and has always gladly stopped to take a moment to talk with me about a winepairing or anything else. My biggest complaint is that I don’t live closer! Read more

I wasn’t going to review this place because I think businesses are having a hard enough time as it is but I can’t get over... how we were treated by the owner after purchasing a busted bottle of wine here a few weeks ago. This was my second bottle ofdessert wine in 4 days so obviously it could have been a good thing for both of us, convenient location for me, repeat businessfor her. I didn’t notice the second bottle was busted until I went to remove the foil and heard glass gritting against thewine opener. I looked and the neck had a fracture in it plus some glass that was breaking off but had previously been held inplace by the foil. I contemplated opening it but knew it would likely shatter from the pressure and I didn’t want to risk it.I called right away and the person I spoke with said we could exchange it or get a refund. I really wanted a glass of wine as Iwas prepping dinner so my husband offered to go replace it. While the owner was helping him swap out the busted bottle shecommented that “she didn’t recall the bottle being broken when she sold it to us earlier that day but that she’d give usthe benefit of the doubt.” Not once did she apologize for the inconvenience of having to drive back up there to replace thebroken bottle and instead insulted us. I was looking forward to frequenting this business but because this situation was handledso poorly I will be going out of my way to avoid them at all costs. Read more

Such a cute and fun experience! We did a wine flight, where you’re able to choose your own wines, as well as a cheese and... charcuterie board! We will definitely be back! Read more

Excellent 1st experience. Got house curated charcuterie plate with kale (they were substituting arugula) salad and olives.... Everything was very good especially the cheeses and meats they chose. One local hard salami in particular was so exquisite webought a log. Wine flights are a good portion for $15. A lot of the Vermont made food and drinks were exceptionally good. Ourserver was well educated on everything he was selling. One star off because the ambiance was sparse and a little cold with a fewtables scattered in a mostly bare large white space and we could hear everything the tables next to us were discussing. Theyoffer tasty tapenades, broths, meats, and cheeses etc along with wines for sale. Read more

Came here for the first time for a girls night and on Cheese Night. The charcuterie was so good some of the girls went home with... a wheel of cheese because it was that amazing. We all ordered the $15 flights-the wine list was very rare which was awesometrying and learning about new wines. Our waitress was very personable, educated, and passionate. She first asked us to describewines we like and what we like about them then went through the list individually and described them in detail. Herrecommendations were right on point. The charcuterie boards were the best I’ve had. The presentation is art and the pairingswere creative and absolutely delicious. Read more
